Product Data

Neon Swimming Dry Bag:

The Zone3 dry bag features dual air bags, which are inflated once you have filled the bag with your gear. The inflation chambers are separate from the storage area, thus providing more buoyancy than just a normal dry bag. The adjustable dual belt design attaches securely around the swimmer's waist and the leash ensures that the product remains out of your stroke range whilst swimming.

Great For Open Water Swimming

The 28 litres bag is highly recommended to all open water swimmers who might need to carry their kit when going for a swim, or anyone who wants that little bit of extra visibility to help keep them safe when out in the water. When the bag is lying flat the internal area of the bag measures 50cm x 35cm, leaving plenty of room to fit your towel, clothing & flip flops etc.

#INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING YOUR ZONE3 DRY BAG:
Make sure the bag is fully deflated before use
Fill the bag with your desired kit
Roll over the top until you reach the Foldable Area
Fold over & clip together the two ends at the top
Inflate using the mouth piece on each side
Attach the leash to the clip at the top of the bag threading it through itself
Finally, attach the waistband

Zone3 Swim Safety Buoy & Dry Bag is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 188.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Runtothehills from Well made and exactly what you need. The float is very obvious and sits high on the water so it's great if you have a spotter on the shore. Great for keeping your stuff dry inside too, easy and quick to inflate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Carole123 from Works well, handy for keys I like having somewhere to store keys. Works well as float and to warn boats where you are. I did have to ask advice on best way to set up and all clips difficult to undo with cold hands. If you have space leave slightly inflated for quicker set up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Karaman from Great buy Great, for when you are sea swimming on your own. Added a whistle just in case. Would not be without it.

Can I use it inflated without my stuff in?

This has been recommended to me after a panic attack while open water swimming, I just want a float & don't need to put anything in it, will this be okay? Thanks
Asked by: Higgy1968
This would indeed work for you.

Dimensions and weight

What is the length and width of this bag when seen uninflated as here? And what is its weight, when empty of any items?
Asked by: Rickjdavies
When the bag is lying flat the internal area of the bag measures 50cm x 35cm. The manufacturer does not list the weight of this bag unfortunately.

Wetsuit rubbing

Does anyone have experience with the use of the bag while wearing a wetsuit (Zone3 Aspire in my case but that should be irrelevant...) ? I'm wondering if extended use while wearing the wetsuit damages the wetsuit in any way? Thanks!
Asked by: MC06
This would work with a wetsuit and would not effect the wetsuit at all.

boutancy aid? resitstance training aid?

Although presumably it is not sold as a buoyancy aid, presumably it could be so used if necessary. Am I correct in assuming it would create a lift of up to 28kg-the weight of items inside. What typical drag will generate when towed across the water
Asked by: RichardJA
This bag is designed to increase visibility in open water, whilst carrying your items. This is not a buoyancy aid.

swim run with this float

Does this work OK for swim running? I am wondering if the hard handle is a help in fastening the buoy on to the runner in some way ( threading the waist strap through maybe?) or if it just gets in the way?
Asked by: Newswimrun
The handle does not get in the way when in use but makes it easier to grab when getting out of the water. I hope this helps.

Can you get something out of the bag whille still in the water? A snack for example?

Asked by: chenery161
We would not recommend opening the bag in the water as this will allow water in.

After the bag has been fully inflated, how long before it needs topped up with air?

Asked by: Keperlit
We would suggest deflating between uses for storage - and inflating before each swim.
