Assisting the Zenium is a Shimano 105 R7000 drivetrain, sharing characteristics from it older sibbling Ultegra, the R7000 groupset is sleak stealth groupset designed for power transfer and aesthetics. The all new chainset with its enhanced design to increase stiffness on the downwards pedal is coupled up with a 50/34t semi-compact chainset.
Shimano have redeveloped the shifters to make them more ergonomical and with reduced shifter swing allowing a smoother gear change whilst making them more comfortable for the smaller hands. Shimano offer 2 version of the shifters with different reaches and Vitus have made sure they have spec'd the shorter reach to ensure that it is much more suited for women's hands. These are then wired up to the new compact front derailleur, which uses a new cable pull method allowing a lighter gear change. The R7000 rear derailleur uses Shimano's ever reliable Shadow system which allows you to run wider ratio cassette. Vitus have then spec'd the 11-32t cassette making sure that you are supported up the hills as well as down them.
Coupled up with the Shimano R7000 drivetrain is a set of the all new 105 hydraulic brakes, Using the new flat mount standard the Shimano brakes work on a dual piston braking system allowing a lighter and better performing brake. Coupled up with 160mmShimano's rotors and IceTec pads these brake will not let you down when you need to stop no matter what the conditions!
As a finishing touch Vitus has spec'd their very own custom women's endurance finishing kit. Complimenting the frameset is a 27.2mm alloy seatpost with a 20mm offset allowing plenty of adjustment to ensure the bike fits well. This coupled up with the Vitus women's specific Endurance road saddle making sure that you are comfortable whilst on those long rides. Aiding at the front end of the bike is a 6 bolt forged alloy Vitus stem bolted to a set of the Vitus women's endurance road bars allowing maximum comfort and control.

First emerging as a frame builder in 1970s France, Vitus Bikes played a pivotal role in pioneering the design and manufacture of lugged and bonded aluminium frames, the most iconic being the 979, groundbreaking at the time and still prized among collectors today. In 1982 we engineered and developed the 979 Carbone, one of the very first frames to take carbon fibre technology from the aerospace industry and apply it to bikes. Their tradition of innovation continued throughout subsequent decades with frames which included the 1991 ZXI monocoque carbon frame, the spirit of which lives on in their latest generation of monocoque road bikes. Without exception, each of the bikes – from their singlespeed commuter to the high-end carbon road model – won plaudits for their ride quality, build and great value. The reviews confirmed what they knew all along, and they intend to improve on these already test-winning models as Vitus push forward with the development of this great brand of bikes. “Credit has to be due to a brand that has come back from the ashes and rather than milk the prestige of the old days, has set its sights on the biggest players on the scene.” CYCLIST magazine. Vitus bikes have been tested in many of the top cycling titles and websites across all disciplines. Their bikes have won group tests across Europe and are regarded as some of the best on the market.
