The Vitus E-Substance Alloy Gravel eBike (Apex) is an efficient and versatile electric bike (E-Bike) that is equipped with a Fazua Ride 50 Trail motor drive and a SRAM Apex 1x11-Speed groupset and hydraulic disc brakes.

The E-Substance Apex features a strong and lightweight aluminium frame and carbon forks, giving the perfect balance of reliability, strength and agility at a low weight. It also is fitted with a Fazua Ride 50 Trail motor drive that provides a pedal-assisted push when you need it. A SRAM Apex 1x11-Speed groupset with a wide-ranging 10-42 Tooth cassette and hydraulic disc brakes offers fast gear shifting and exceptional all-weather stopping power.

SRAM Apex 11-Speed Groupset and Fazua Ride 50 Trail Motor Drive

Whether embarking on a bikepacking adventure or simply staying light for a mixed-terrain local loop, the E-Substance is capable of adapting to suit your ride. At its core, a robust aluminium frame and carbon fork are tuned for versatility, aided by the compact Fazua electric drive system with three assistance levels up to 250 watts. The latest top-tube controller lets you easily manage performance and with everything cleanly integrated, the Substance retains its modern look. Paired with SRAM’s reliable Apex 1X drivetrain, the frame is also compatible with 700c or 650b wheels, so you can fine-tune the setup to best fit where you are riding. For tough rides where water, food and spares might be hard to come by, rack mounts enable you to load up with whatever’s required to reach the next supply point.

About the Vitus brand

First emerging as a frame builder in 1970s France, Vitus Bikes played a pivotal role in pioneering the design and manufacture of lugged and bonded aluminium frames, the most iconic being the 979, groundbreaking at the time and still prized among collectors today.
