The Vitus E-Sommet 297 VR Mountain Bike is an electric bike (E-Bike) that is engineered for enduro racing. It features an alloy frame with a mixed wheel size and a Shimano STEPS motor drive, Shimano Deore 11-Speed groupset and RockShox suspension.

The E-Sommet 297 VR features a modern-geometry alloy frame equipped with RockShox Domain forks and Super Deluxe rear shock that offers a sublime balance of high-speed control and traction in all weather conditions. Vitus has fitted it with a Shimano STEPS E7000 electronic pedal-assisted motor drive that gives you an extra push on steep climbs while a Shimano Deore M5100 11-Speed groupset and powerful 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes give you a wide-gear range and dependable stopping power.

This bike also features a mixed-wheel platform (29" front / 27.5" rear) to ensure you experience fast all-terrain performance. It rolls upon Tubeless Ready WTB ST Light i30 rims wrapped in high-grip Maxxis Assegai Wide Trail (WT) and High Roller II 3C MaxxTerra tyres. And it’s fitted with a Brand-X Ascend dropper seatpost and a stylish Nukeproof Horizon finishing kit.

About the Vitus brand

First emerging as a frame builder in 1970s France, Vitus Bikes played a pivotal role in pioneering the design and manufacture of lugged and bonded aluminium frames, the most iconic being the 979, groundbreaking at the time and still prized among collectors today.
