This trail-geometry, tubeless ready, electric-assisted stunner is built to be ridden hard and heartily, with the addition of the Shimano E7000 STEPS motor making it an energy-efficient choice for those long days of prolonged pedal-pumping. The engine has three settings - Eco, Trail and Boost - to suit whatever type of ride you want to rock and also features a pedal-assist system which saves tyre wear and improves efficiency.
Rolling on wide Maxxis 3C tyres, the E-Sentier is kitted out with plenty of high-end spec befitting of such a boisterous bike. A RockShox Recon RL Boost fork with 140mm of travel ensures every impact on your way down the hill is soaked up immediately while Shimano M520 4 piston disc brakes keep you in control of speed and descents when you need to drop anchor. Providing all of the pedal propulsion is a brilliant Shimano Deore 1x10 gearing setup that you can work hard to fully feel the benefit when switching over to the motor.
Taking your trail riding to the next level, the E-Sentier is the new master of the mountain.
First emerging as a frame builder in 1970s France, Vitus Bikes played a pivotal role in pioneering the design and manufacture of lugged and bonded aluminium frames, the most iconic being the 979, groundbreaking at the time and still prized among collectors today. In 1982 we engineered and developed the 979 Carbone, one of the very first frames to take carbon fibre technology from the aerospace industry and apply it to bikes. Their tradition of innovation continued throughout subsequent decades with frames which included the 1991 ZXI monocoque carbon frame, the spirit of which lives on in their latest generation of monocoque road bikes. Without exception, each of the bikes – from their singlespeed commuter to the high-end carbon road model – won plaudits for their ride quality, build and great value. The reviews confirmed what they knew all along, and they intend to improve on these already test-winning models as Vitus push forward with the development of this great brand of bikes. “Credit has to be due to a brand that has come back from the ashes and rather than milk the prestige of the old days, has set its sights on the biggest players on the scene.” CYCLIST magazine. Vitus bikes have been tested in many of the top cycling titles and websites across all disciplines. Their bikes have won group tests across Europe and are regarded as some of the best on the market.
The size chart below will get you on the right size bike. Experienced riders may also wish to refer to the geometry chart for more detail.
Getting the Right Fit
At Wiggle we measure each of our bikes to build accurate size charts for our customers. Our qualified team of mechanics then individually check each order, against measurements supplied by you, to ensure the size chosen is correct. Another reason you can have complete confidence when buying a bike from Wiggle!
If you are on the change over between sizes both options will fit. Racers and experienced riders would usually select a smaller size as this offers quicker handing. A larger bike offers more stability and is more suited to new and intermediate riders.
