Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid engineering and a very reliable connection point for pannier racks - Originally I thought these were a little expensive, but looking at the quality and frailty of £4 p-clips, I'm now glad I went for quality over price! These will damage your paintwork unless you pad with some tape - I recommend some electrical tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worked a treat I was a bit uncuratin of these but they've held on to the frame well. I covered the jointing part of the frame in electrical tape to stop it from rubbing the paint off! The only issue was that it's a little unclear on what size to go for, I measured it with a bit of string! All in all they're a good option if you do not have eyelets.

Have had these on my cross bike for a couple of years now due to it not having any eyelets for a carrier (set up for winter commuting) and they were a little fiddly to fit but once on they have not come loose at all, so I can't fault them at all really.

What do the sizes refer to?

My seat stays are 55mm in diameter, with dimensions approximately 10mm x 16mm. In this case is 16mm the appropriate clamp size?

Are the clips rubberised? Hard to tell with no picture. If not then how do they work without damaging the paintwork?

They are not rubberised, but using a small cut piece of innertube will ensure that the clips won't scratch the paint. This will add a slight increase in the size, though, so get a size up.

Will it fit my eliptical stay?

Hi there My seat stays are elliptical. At their thickest (side way on), they are around 25mm in diameter and at their thinnest a shade under 20mm. The overall circumference is about 70mm. Will this product bend to fit stays which aren't 'circular'? Should I go for the largest size available? Are there any other products that I should consider? Thanks Chris

Yes they will fit around any shaped stay. Just make sure to measure carefully and get the size right.

use with carbon fibre frame

I am looking to put panniers onto my Specialized Roubaix road bike. It is a fully carbon fibre frame with no lugs or eyelits. I am looking at using the axle mount adaption but I'm aware that it isn't advised to use the seat stay clamp with carbon fibre. Is there another alternative to this if i was to replace my seat post with an aluminium one? Thanks in advance.

Why not use a seat clamp with rack mounts for the top front, and axle mounts for the bottom? That way you won't be stressing any carbon fibre. I've done it with my Canyon Ultimate and it's ok. Just don't clamp carbon fibre, ok?

Size stays for a Verenti Division 2

What size do I need for a Verenti Division 2 bike. The measurement around the seat stay is 65mm and a 20 diameter I think.

We'd recommend using the 21/22mm size. A small piece of tape or rubber wrapped around the stay will help not only with the fit, but also to protect the finish of the frame.
