The Verge S8i features a durable and lightweight aluminium frame with Tern's sturdy and fast folding OCL+ frame joint. Tern has fitted with a Shimano Alfine 8-Speed drivetrain and a Gates Carbon belt drive for a reliable, smooth and silent transmission. Also, it's armed with Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes, a wide beam front light and an Andros handlebar/stem combo. The Verge S8i is the world’s most versatile ultra-low-maintenance folding bike. It’s designed around a Gates belt drive and Shimano’s 8-speed internal-gear Alfine hub. The result is a practically silent super-computer with no greasy parts or protruding derailleurs, plus a gear range for any incline. A heavy-duty update to Tern's iconic OCL frame hinge, the OCL+ is built to exceed ISO 4210 and EN 15194 testing requirements. Leveraging the hinge design of the long-tail Tern Cargo Node, the OCL+ features a single-shaft design, advanced welding techniques, and robust gussets, so it stays stiff and strong during even the fastest commutes.
Five patented technologies and unique manufacturing technology add up to the strongest, stiffest folding handlepost available. The Physis uses a special manufacturing process called 3D forging, which forms the post from a single piece of aluminium, eliminating all welds.
The Andros is Tern's patented adjustable stem that lets you set your handlebars where you want—no tools, no fuss. In just seconds, you can set your riding position to long and low in a tough headwind, or upright and comfy for riding around town. You decide how you want to ride, and the Andros makes your bike fit.
A hub dynamo is the ultimate green power source because it generates electricity while you ride—no batteries or recharging required. The Joule 3 is one of the very lightest and smallest dynamo hubs on the market and is one of only a handful that exceeds the High Efficiency (HE) 70% threshold. Say goodbye to batteries. Winner of a Eurobike award, the Joule 3 meets German StVZO standards for a 6V/3W hub—meaning it can power both a front and rear light.
The Valo 2 is a powerful light designed to help you navigate safely at night. Getting the Right Fit
At Wiggle we measure each of our bikes to build accurate size charts for our customers. Our qualified team of mechanics then individually check each order, against measurements supplied by you, to ensure the size chosen is correct. Another reason you can have complete confidence when buying a bike from Wiggle!
If you are on the change over between sizes both options will fit. Racers and experienced riders would usually select a smaller size as this offers quicker handing. A larger bike offers more stability and is more suited to new and intermediate riders.

Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.
