Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good alternative to a tube-mount Having converted my trail bike to electric assist, the usual tube mount for a bottle was taken up by the battery, so this seemed a good alternative. It's reasonably solid - the usual trade-off between durability and weight - and was easy enough to fit. However, I found that the bottle sat rather higher than I would have liked so I fitted the angled bracket upside down and modified it so that the cage would still sit near vertical. Now, the top of the bottle is just about at seat height rather than standing out above.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too fiddly to attach The casing for the nut/bolt where you're supposed to attach your bottle holder is just poorly designed. took me so long to finally attach the thing and then after a week's use it came detached. I'd also say it's pretty poor - almost false - advertising as the bottle holder itself isn't included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good product using with tacx bottle holder on tt bike, holds well, tightens firmly, done few rides with it. 200 km and one 70 km but on bad road. did not loose bottle, holds tightly. you can add 1 or 2 bottle cage's. has 3 bottle cage mounts so if you mount one it goes on center, if two it mounts accordingly.

Do you have to buy two mounts or will just one carry 2 bottles?

The included piece for the mount basically gives you three different sets of mounting holes. So you can use two cages or one cage, but you will have to supply your own cages to make it work.

Can you fit a saddle bag under this?

Depends on the saddle bag/seatpack in question! This mount is the identical one to that Profile used for their system (which I have) before they appear to have changed the bracket. If your seatpack has a rigid "twist into place between the rails" mount (as the old Cannondales had) it will be very tricky, possibly needing you to remove the saddle from the seatpost. If it uses straps looped over each rail however, chances are you'll be fine, although longer seatpacks may limit how far the bracket can pivot downwards behind your saddle.

How do you attach bottle cages to the product when there is no thread in the holes?

there are 2 square nuts supplied which fit in the square recesses in the back of the cage holder. Best to fit holder b4 fitting to bike as is very fiddly to do.

Will this fit a Selle SMP saddle?

The Selle SMP saddles have a different rail design to the standard saddle. Do you know if this bottle clamp fits, and if not, can you recommend any that do?
