SRAM's X01 DH Type 2.1 7 Speed Rear Mech is a downhill-specific component that is super-tough and offers all the performance and technology you need to need to dominate the trails.
|Rear Derailleur:||SRAM X01|
This rear mech is packed with features that enhance the shift performance, chain retention and make it more user-friendly. This is all thanks to SRAM’s Exact Actuation and X-Horizon technology, which work together to provide precise and reliable shifting and the Roller Bearing Clutch which keeps the chain tension consistent. Also, when it’s time to remove and re-install the rear wheel, the X01 DH mech features Cage Lock technology, which moves the mech out of the way when activated.
Cage Lock: Wheel removal and installation, as well as chain installation, becomes faster and simpler. Just push the cage forward to create slack and lock it into place.
X-Sync: The X-Sync™ pulley features a 12-tooth design that helps control the chain’s lateral movement.
Roller Bearing Clutch™: Maximum drivetrain stability even through the most punishing terrain. With Roller Bearing Clutch ™ technology, derailleur bounce and chain slap are eliminated without sacrificing precision.
Exact Actuation: Simplified and stabilised shifting over tight cog spacing found on modern cassettes. By using exact cable tension, the end result is the easiest index shifting system to set up and it stays that way.
X-Horizon: The ‘straight parallelogram’ design limits all movement to the horizontal axis, which makes ghost shifting impossible while also reducing shift force. For quicker, more exact shifting, the large upper pulley offset design maintains a constant chain gap across all gears.

SRAM Corporation was founded in Chicago, IL (USA) in 1987 by six employees with one component, Gripshift Twist Shifters. Today, SRAM’s commitment and growth can be measured by its 1,500 employees, its 150+ cycling products, and it’s 12 facilities worldwide. SRAM has found tremendous growth through innovative products, unparallel customer service, strong sales, and complimentary acquisitions. SRAM acquisitions include Sachs Bicycle Components, purchased in 1997, a leading manufacturer of chains, cassettes and hubs. In 2002 SRAM purchased RockShox, the world’s mountain bike suspension specialist. 2004 brought the purchase of both Avid brakes and Truvativ cranks and components. The addition of these companies has allowed SRAM to grow into the world’s second largest component supplier to the cycling industry. SRAM's core philosophy is to make cycling better. Their commitment is expressed in their local, national and international team and event sponsorship.
