About the SRAM brand

Product manuals and service guides for all SRAM, Rockshox, Avid and Truvativ products can be found at sram.com or videos can be found on YouTube. SRAM Corporation was founded in Chicago, IL (USA) in 1987 by six employees with one component, Gripshift Twist Shifters. Today, SRAM’s commitment and growth can be measured by its 1,500 employees, its 150+ cycling products, and it’s 12 facilities worldwide. SRAM has found tremendous growth through innovative products, unparallel customer service, strong sales, and complimentary acquisitions. SRAM acquisitions include Sachs Bicycle Components, purchased in 1997, a leading manufacturer of chains, cassettes and hubs. In 2002 SRAM purchased RockShox, the world’s mountain bike suspension specialist. 2004 brought the purchase of both Avid brakes and Truvativ cranks and components. The addition of these companies has allowed SRAM to grow into the world’s second largest component supplier to the cycling industry. SRAM's core philosophy is to make cycling better. Their commitment is expressed in their local, national and international team and event sponsorship.

SRAM GXP Team Bottom Bracket is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 110.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sam1968 from Screw in bottom bracket for whyte t130 This arrived quickly and was very easy to fit, no bashing with a hammer and punch to remove the old bearing cups. Which is good, when the frame is carbon. My only qualms being the longevity, as it was the same as the set I removed and I don't think they'd lasted a year. Not too much of a problem, considering the price and ease of replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jezza1234 from Does what it should Easy to fit with the correct tools. Smooth action, no noise. Its been on a year, no creaking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by atom89 from Wrecked by one (1) ride in the rain I have had several of these bottom brackets, either as part of a groupset or complete bike purchase. After the first few rides in the rain, it will begin to seize. There's no point buying these unless you ride exclusively in the dry. Go for Hope or Chris King if you can afford it up front, it will be cheaper in the long run

Rated 4 out of 5 by Neilgrainger69 from Great product at decent price Needed to replace my old bottom bracket and decided to go for a like for like product which I installed very easily myself. Just be aware that toy will need the correct tools to do so but even a non technical person like me didn't have any problems and it works a treat.

Italian or English Thread

Hello, Which bottom bracket will fit a 2007 Boardman Team Carbon, the english or italian thread? thank you
Asked by: Backo
Hi Backo, I have a Boardman Team Pro 2009, I just replaced my BB and I used the English thread. My reasoning was: where was the bike manufactured or for which market? English seemed like the correct choice and it worked. Regards, Julius

The English thread option should provide a good fit for your S-1250 crankset.

What to do with the spacers

Hi, I'm building a Kinesis Tripster ATR. The BB shell width is 68mm, the crank is SRAM Force 1, 42 teeth single, rear dropout spacing is 135mm and I will use a SRAM XG1150, 11-speed cassette.with this build, should I use the 2.5mm spacers that came with the SRAM GXP bottom bracket?
Asked by: Pedalitis
I can advise that the spacers should be suitable for what you require.
