The natural home of the RC9 S-Phyre Track Shoes is in amongst the thrills and spills and g-forces found on the steep banks of track racing. That's not to say you can't deploy them effectively for Time-Trials and Criteriums though, as their carbon sole, rated 12 out of 12 for stiffness, will deliver the raw-power you need to accelerate out of sharp Criterium corners and maintain high speeds on the TT bike just as it does for bursts of speed on the smooth boards of the track. An extended cleat range, up to 22mm for and aft, also lets you get your bike fit just right.

Shimano Dynalast x Boa® L6 dial

Making use of Shimano's Dynalast design and a low-profile Boa® L6 dial, the RC9s deliver the firm hold, foot stability and an optimized toe-spring section that ensures the most efficient and powerful pedal stroke possible with reduced fatigue over long distances. The L6 dial also facilitates a precise fit and easy adjustment even on the go as well as compatibility with toe straps for raw power based track events. A  low stack-height and external curved heel cup also stabilise the foot and minimise rolling and twisting giving you the ideal platform for smooth pedalling.

One-piece Seamless Upper

Shimano uses a stretch-resistant and highly breathable, one-piece Teijin Avail microfiber synthetic leather for the upper. This perfectly wraps the foot for incredible comfort and reduces sweat retention while MicroVent perforations enhance airflow over the whole foot - ideal for a humid track centre. 

Cleat Guidance

These Cycling Shoes are compatible with road bike pedal systems that use cleats with 3-bolt standards, such as: Look Delta and Keo, Shimano SPD-SL, Speedplay Light Action, Zero, X-Series (via 3-hole adapter plate), Campagnolo Pro-Fit, Mavic Zxellium, Time Iclic/Xpresso and Time Impact.
