From crushing mountain bike trails to smashing up an enduro race, the Shimano ME502 MTB SPD Shoes give you efficient pedalling, extra foot protection and all-day riding comfort.
|Cycle Shoe Type:||Two Bolt|
|Cycle Shoe Closing:||Dial|
From flying down steep rocky and rooty mountain bike trails to pedalling between enduro stages, the ME502 MTB SPD Shoes provide comfortable pedalling when going up or down the mountain.
The upper is made from supple synthetic leather that wraps the foot snugly to ensure a firm hold and excellent support when pedalling. An offset tongue improves both the comfort and the fit too. To get the fit just right, Shimano uses the RC9T BOA® lace layout. This allows micro-adjustment across the mid and upper of the shoe while a strap closes down the lower part of the shoe. A simple and unfussy fit every time.
Moving to the sole unit, this features a proprietary Shimano rubber compound. When clipped in this adds support to the foot while off the bike you'll enjoy a tenacious level of grip and traction - perfect for when you're scoping out trail features. Meanwhile, the TORBAL™ midsole lets your heel move naturally as you move and manoeuvre across rough terrain but maintains smooth and efficient power transfer at the cleat. With an overall stiffness rating of 6 out of 12, this sole unit gets you up to speed with minimal power loss and tuned flex to absorb vibrations from the terrain.
These mountain bike shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use cleats with SPD standard (2-bolt standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB.
