Reliable, water resistant and easy to install, the Shimano EW-SD50 E-Tube Di2 Cable is paired with the separately sold SM-JC40 or SM-JC41 junction box for connecting your road or mountain bike's (MTB's) Di2 electronic drivetrain components.

This Shimano EW-SD50 cable is required to connect the junction (either SM-JC40 external or SM-JC41 internal) to the shifters, rear derailleur, front derailleur, battery and to the handlebar battery indicator junction box.
In an Ultegra Di2 system, there is a fully removable individual Shimano SD50 E-Tube cable system from the battery indicator junction box enabling fine-tuning with the correct cable length to each component for easy and tidy fitment.
The removal of traditional mechanical cables in favour of electrical wires not only eliminates poor shifting caused by contaminates, corrosion and stretching but provides effortless gear shifts.
E-Tube wires are compatible with 6770 Ultegra 10-Speed Di2, 6870 Ultegra 11-Speed Di2, 9070 Dura Ace 11-Speed and all modern Shimano Di2 components that use the E-Tube connections.
