These bar end shifters feature an extremely low-profile design and a super-modern shift button, which is optimised for hand positioning on the extensions. The one-button operation minimises movement and maximizes the aerodynamic efficiency while reducing effort.
With a refined ergonomic shape and simple, single-button design, the SW-R9160 DI2 remote triathlon shifter provides quick shifting while riding in the aerobars. Utilising Shimano Synchronised Shift program, each bar end shifter can be programmed to upshift or downshift the rear derailleur while the Di2 computer decides when to shift the front derailleur for the optimal front and rear gear combination.
- Easy to push the thumb switch when gripping the top of the TT extension
Technologies:
Shimano Electronic Intelligent System (SEIS): A technological innovation of the computerized shifting system based on the Di2 concept with which is called, the SEIS (Shimano Electronic Intelligent System). The SEIS innovative shift technology is still based on the Shimano Index System (SIS) that has proved its superior gear changing characteristics over the years. The big difference is that in this case, the shifting action is provided for by electronics instead of mechanics.
