Shimano Deore T610 V-Brake is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by velorider from Good Does what it says on the tin and quality is better than most V-Brakes out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SRix from Easy brake upgrade, great value when reduced Very easy upgrade to my Bianchi Camaleonte hybrid I use for touring. These are a straight swap for the lesser quality Chinese original v-brakes that always seemed a penny pinch on an otherwise well spec'd bike with an expensive Shimano Alfine SG-S700 11 spd hub. They work well with the Shimano T610 Trekking levers I fitted, another upgrade. The whole braking set-up now being black, they look good and work well with the graphite bike frame. So, maybe not the last word in Shimano braking, but a great deal for a dependable 10yr old bike that I intend to keep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BrightGW from Great budget V-Brake, I've often overspent on bike components, XT but when comparing the cost there's not much in it and stops well. I'm not fussed if they are slightly heavier.

Will this brake fit my Raleigh montage MTB

I would like to replace the old cantilever brakes which are worn out and squealing badly
Asked by: dayrider75
Unfortunately these will not work effectively due to the cable pull difference in the levers. Sorry we couldn't help more on this one.

What's the difference between front and rear brakes please.

Hello, I was wondering if you could please tell me the physical difference between the front and rear brakes? I know the brake blocks are directional, but these can easily be swapped over reom left the right to change the orientation of the direction. I also know some front and rear sets have different noodles (90 degrees and 135 degrees) but as you sell these without the noodle / V pipe that's not an issue either. So other than the way the pads are fitted is there any other difference between the front and rear? Thank you so much for your help and time.
Asked by: Joolssoul
There is no difference apart from the pads orientation.

Would like to replace the squealing cantilever brakes that are a pain to set up.

specifications

Hello, what is the difference between these brakes and the Shimano Alivio BR-T400? Are they compatible with each other? And finally, I can't see from the picture but are the brakes supplied with the T610 have a design with separate brake shoes and pads so that I can separately replace the pads?
Asked by: JohnML
These are slightly more upgraded then the Alivio option in terms of better quality material/better performance. They will be cross compatible. The provided brake shoes have replaceable pads.

Compatable with tiagra sti shifter

Are these compatable with tiagra sti shifters?
Asked by: Jb9981
I can confirm that whilst this is capable of being compatible with STI shifters, you would need to ensure that it's fitted and set up by a trained cycle mechanic as it's not as straight forward as a v brake lever set up.
