Developed for both road and off-road disciplines, the Selle San Marco Aspide Short Open-Fit Racing Saddle combines a microfeel cover, a carbon fibre reinforced shell and Xsilite rails for ideal comfort and lightness on your ride.
Ready for racing, this saddle features a hard-wearing microfeel cover that's breathable, less deformable and lighter than traditional cover materials. Its anti-skid effect also provides extraordinary grip, while its carbon fibre reinforced shell ensures rigidity, stiffness, and durability without compromising weight. Selle San Marco has kitted out this model with high-quality Xsilite rails, which contain a high percentage of silicon with particles of titanium and carbon. This allows it to deliver a strong and lightweight hold to your seatpost in all-weather conditions. Coming complete with Biofoam padding that follows the movements of your pelvis during pedalling and a central cut-out channel to relieve fatigue, this is a great choice of upgrade for guaranteed comfort, reduced weight, lasting resistance and ideal support
The Aspide short resumes the essential shape and the unmistakable design, which has always characterised the Aspide range, but shortens its length (250mm) to make it even more comfortable. Its shape, combined with the large central cut-out (Open-Fit), guarantees maximum comfort and adequate support of the ischiatic bones in different pedalling situations.
Since 2002 the Aspide has been the top model of the entire Selle San Marco collection. A product that in almost 20 years of history, has managed to support many cyclists to victory in World Tour Events, thanks to its perfect combination of comfort and lightness. Today, the Aspide takes one more step. It also becomes “Short” to increase even more the comfort and guarantee the pleasure of pedalling.
The Aside Short's Wide Open-Fit design and its clean, minimalist lines guarantee perfect comfort and even greater lightness. The slim front guarantees excellent leg freedom whilst pedalling. Whilst the rear support helps maintain the riding position. Aspide is particularly suited to road use, yet also offers excellent performance on other types of terrain. The Selle San Marco Aspide Short Open-Fit Racing Saddle with a total length of 250mm is now available in two modern fit sizes to choose from, so you'll be covered whatever your performance demands or budget needs are.
Xsilite Rails: It is a material with a high percentage of silicon with particles of titanium and carbon. Light and strong, it turns out to be resistant to all weather conditions. The process through the stealth technology ensures a better strength against fatigue stress.
Carbon Fibre Reinforced Shell: Nylon with high properties, enriched with a high proportion of long carbon fibre, in order to reinforce the characteristics of rigidity, stiffness and durability without compromising the weight.
Biofoam: Biodynamic structure that follows the movements of the pelvis during pedalling, guarantees comfort, reduced weight, lasting resistance and ideal support. The “closed cells” surface ensures water is repelled from the padding.
Microfeel Cover: Breathable and hard-wearing cover. It is lighter than traditional materials and less deformable. Anti-skid effect with an extraordinary grip on the saddle. Biocompatible material.
Ergonomy: The perfect balance between the support and relief zone. The "big hole" helps maintain comfort under pressure and offers day long support and comfort. The central relief zone is long enough to work in all riding positions.
