• The Travel Plus Racing bike bag allows you to keep the handlebars and seat post in place.

• You need to remove the wheels from your bike, which requires you only to undo the quick release skewers.

• If you choose to remove the pedals, you may need a pedal spanner. That is as far as it goes.

• Remove any accessories from your bike, like a GPS unit and bottles. Any loose items in the bike bag can scratch or damage your bike frame.

• If you have electronic gears, remove the battery and store them separately to avoid discharge.

Please note: Bikes and other bulky items cannot be returned using our local returns service (where applicable). Please contact us and we can arrange to collect these from you using our discounted courier rates. There is a fee for all collections, except for faulty products.

Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent enough, but not solid Decent enough at protecting a dismantled bike from basic damage in transit, but because its not solid I certainly wouldn't let it out of my own control (i.e. definitely do not trust it with airlines). Having to remove the wheels does seem to expose the rear mechanism to potential damage, and this kind of undermines the carry handles - I therefore tend to carry it flat which can be awkward. Note that you also need to loosen and twist the handlebars and remove the seat post in order for it to fit (though smaller frames/cyclists may not have this problem). Comes with a useful storage bag for when you're not using it, but good luck trying to fold it back down small enough to get it into it!

Good quality looks and feels nice and sturdy used it a number of times just take the wheel off the bike and the rest of the bike fits no problem in the bag bike is a 58 frame. I already had wheel bags, so I keep the wheel separate. this leave plenty of room in side the bike bag for helmet etc. Biggest fad was trying to get the bike bag back in the storage bag, but after a couple of goes I now have the knack

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it says on the tin.... Yup...it's a bag that you put your bike in..... no faff, no fiddly bits.....just whip the wheels off and stick it in the car.... Ideal for long journeys when I don't want bikes on the roof. Delighted with this bag and I use it at least once a week.

Once they are removed is there space inside the bag? Or do additional wheel bags need to be purchased?

yep, the wheels fit in well. Not sure sure if a wheel bag would fit because there is some space but it would/could be a squeeze - good idea though. Maybe check with Wiggle and email them, as they would have a better idea.

Will a 29er fit in the travel basic bike bag

Hi, sure I think it will. The back is pretty unstructured so can fit just about anything. Word of warning, check my other review... if your thinking of using it for any serious travel then think again... if it is just to put your dirty bike in and keep your car clean... this shoudl do the job!

Is this bag suitable for air travel?

This is a basic cycle bag (no padding as such) that you may wish to use for air travel and there's no specific reason why you shouldn't. Always best to check with the airline before flying though to check if they have any specific requirements for packing a bike for travel on their aircraft.

Do handlebars of a road bike need to be removed and also is there a frame to attach the forks to?

I apologise but to fit your bike in this box you will need to remove the wheels and handle bars and depending on the size of the frame possible the seat post. I hope this helps.
