About the Schwalbe brand

For over 70 years Schwalbe have dominated the two wheeled tyre industry in Germany and Europe, being voted best MTB tyre brand in Germany for the past two years. From the very early beginnings where the company founder, Earnest-Wilhelm Bohle capitalised on the developing cycle industry, to the ultra modern distribution facility near Cologne, Schwalbe have continued to design and manufacture some of the finest bicycle tyres available. Schwalbe's success is due in part to the effort it makes in product development from lab tests at the manufacturing facility to the hardest proving grounds of all, professional cycle racing. 'Team Gerolsteiner' achieved a very creditable 7th place overall in the 2004 Tour de France and the unique performance of team captain Davide Rebellin winning three major classic races back to back using Schwalbe tyre. Other notable succeses include Normann Stadler winning the infamous Ironman triathlon in Hawaii, riding Schwalbe Stelvio tyres.

Do these inner tubes feature a schrader valve that can be screwed into the rim?

Asked by: spadge
I don't know about screw into the rim per se, but the valve stems are threaded and come with a knurled nut to secure the stem firmly against the rim.

Which size for a 1.5in tyre?

Which size inner would work best for 1.5in tyres? The 1.0-1.5 version, or the 1.5-2.0? Thanks.
Asked by: deasun01
its best to go from 1.5-2.0. rather be on the lower end then the upper.

Do these come with caps for the valves?

Asked by: Ste1
The Schwalbe Schrader 26x1.95 that I fitted to me friends bike certainly came with bullet-point shaped, transparent plastic caps. And a screw-down metal lock ring too. Hope that helps! :o)

Will these fit a 559mm MTB rim

Hi, want to be sure that these inner tubes will fit my Viking 26" MTB rim. Currently it has 26x1.95 so want to be sure that it fit its 559mm rim.
Asked by: EvilScotsman

Do these tubes definitely come with a removable valve core?

I need to remove core to put sealant in tube. Please, no answers along the lines of "why not get slime tubes" - I've already got the sealant!
Asked by: vann
Ah, erm, well the two I ordered from Wiggle last week DO have removable cores! Confusing. I've got a 26" x 1.5-2.5 sat in front of me with the core removed! It's possible Schwalbe are phasing them out, I guess... Hope not as they appear to be the only co. making them.

What's the difference between Presta and Schrader?

Asked by: Nicks81
Schrader is otherwise known as 'car valve' or American/US while Presta (aka French) is narrower and has a small treaded collar that has to be loosened before you inflate, and tightened following inflation. Both tend to hold air pressure well. The Schrader valve has a slight advantage in terms of convenience in that you can get your tyres inflated at the local garage. I run both types of valves on the one bike at pressures of 120 psi. Have yet to find an advantage of one over the other. You need to check your rims to see if they take narrow or wider diameter valve stems.

Will this fit a Frog 70 bike with 26 inch wheels?

I am having trouble getting a tube to fit. Will this do the job?
Asked by: cassius801
Going on the information that I was able to find on your bike I would suggest that the http://www.wiggle.co.uk/continental-quality-mtb-inner-tube/ and option c would be suitable. If you need any further help please contact us on the below link http://www.wiggle.co.uk/h/option/CustomerServices

will these tubes be ok for a shwalbe 27.5 tyre

Asked by: snodger
This would not be compatible. You would need a 27.5"/650b inner tube. This would be a great choice.
