These superb forks are designed for XC use as they offer amazing shock absorption when blasting across the mountain. They feature straight-wall aluminium upper tube's which makes them incredibly tough at enduring all the abuse from off-road riding.
|Fork Material:||Aluminium Alloy|
RockShox has set the benchmark for durability with this version by using a magnesium lower tube construction for another layer of robustness without any excess weight. Perfect for riding over mixed terrains, these solid forks are equipped with a Solo Air spring which provides phenomenal shock sensitivity on every ride. Their versatile design allows you to add air through a single Schrader valve, filling both the positive and negative air spring chambers simultaneously. This gives you a predictable riding experience which can be set up in seconds.
Options Explained: For example, a "29" 100mm 51mm" option is for 29" wheels / has 100mm of travel / and has a 51mm offset steerer tube
Providing seamless and effective performance, these brilliant forks are equipped with a Motion Control damper. This means you'll benefit from a simple low-speed compression adjustment to lockout with external rebound adjustment. Top to it off, you'll enjoy the freedom to ride in either a locked or open riding position to suit the terrain conditions.
Bottomless Tokens: Bottomless Tokens allow riders to easily custom tune their RockShox fork’s air-spring performance to best match their own riding style and suspension preference. Adding the easy-to-install Bottomless Tokens changes the air-spring curve to resist bottom-out after a big hit, giving aggressive riders the power to attack the trail harder. Removing Bottomless Tokens makes the air-spring curve more linear, enhancing suspension feel for certain types of terrain or trail condition and ensuring riders who are less front-end aggressive benefit from 100 percent of their fork’s travel.
DebonAir: A lightweight, highly tune-able air spring designed to offer a coil-like consistent feel throughout the travel - effortlessly soaking up the smallest hits and tracking the slightest changes in the terrain.
Sag Gradients: Measurement gradients indicating the current sag and travel settings are conveniently located on the upper tubes so that you always know how much travel you are running. You won't find this anywhere else but RockShox.
Solo Air: Solo Air gives you a plush, predictable ride you can set up in seconds.
Motion Control: Motion Control damping is seamless, effective, and offers a simple low-speed compression adjustment coupled with a blow-off valve.
Torque Caps: Torque Caps make the bond between hub and fork dropout stronger, with an increased surface area connecting the two. This creates a stronger, stiffer interface, giving you a more responsive front wheel and more control. So you concentrate on the most important connection, the one between your bike and the trail.
RockShox was one of the first producers of bicycle suspension forks and have now become the world leader in the design and manufacturing of high performance suspension products for the bicycle industry. In 1989 RockShox Inc. was founded by Paul Turner and Steve Simons. Rock Shox launched with 10 front suspension forks and three rear shocks, with the brand names such as Boxxer, Deluxe, Indy, Jett, Judy, Mag, Quadra, Ruby and SID. RockShox’s founder Paul Turner, raced motorcycles in his teen years during the 1970s and went on to found an aftermarket engine parts company in 1977 at the age of 18. Turner then went to work for Honda Motor Company, as their factory motocross team mechanic, an opportunity which provided Turner with experience working with the top racers in the field, as well as suspension designers and other motocross industry leaders. In Febuary 2002, RockShox was acquired by industry leader SRAM who hope to take the brand onto another level.
