Building on the success of the famous Pike model, these mountain bike (MTB) forks are equipped with a completely revised chassis and 35mm stanchions for dependable off-road performance. Their tapered-wall aluminium upper tubes also make them ideal at handling all the intensity that comes with fast-paced trail-riding on challenging, unpredictable terrains. RockShox has kitted these out with a Dual Position Air air-spring, which allows you to switch from climbing to descending mode in an instant. With a simple turn and click, you can change their travel by up to 30mm, while the RCT3 Charger Damper ensures consistency and reduces vibration. Thanks to their external rebound, low-speed compression and three-position compression (Open/Pedal/Lock) adjustments, these are a great option for riders who want a fork that matches their riding style as well as the terrain.
Technologies:
Dual Position Air: This allows you to change the fork's travel by up to 30mm without changing its small bump sensitivity.
SKF Seals: Everyone loves a good collaboration, which is why we've been working with SKF, the world's highest-performance seal manufacturer, for over 5 years. Together we'll provide ultra-low friction wiper seals, less fatigue, and an unmatched suspension feel, all while keeping the dirt where it belongs - because no one wants dirt in there.
Bottomless Tokens: Bottomless Tokens allow you to easily custom tune your air-spring performance to best match your riding style and suspension preference. Adding the easy-to-install Bottomless Tokens changes the air-spring curve to resist bottom-out after a big hit, giving aggressive riders the power to attack the trail harder. Removing Bottomless Tokens makes the air-spring curve more linear, enhancing suspension feel for certain types of terrain or trail conditions and ensuring riders who are less front-end aggressive benefit from 100% of their fork's travel.
Torque Caps: Torque Caps make the bond between hub and fork dropout stronger, with an increased surface area connecting the two. This creates a stronger, stiffer interface, giving you a more responsive front wheel and more control. So you concentrate on the most important connection, the one between your bike and the trail.
RockShox was one of the first producers of bicycle suspension forks and have now become the world leader in the design and manufacturing of high performance suspension products for the bicycle industry. In 1989 RockShox Inc. was founded by Paul Turner and Steve Simons. Rock Shox launched with 10 front suspension forks and three rear shocks, with the brand names such as Boxxer, Deluxe, Indy, Jett, Judy, Mag, Quadra, Ruby and SID. RockShox’s founder Paul Turner, raced motorcycles in his teen years during the 1970s and went on to found an aftermarket engine parts company in 1977 at the age of 18. Turner then went to work for Honda Motor Company, as their factory motocross team mechanic, an opportunity which provided Turner with experience working with the top racers in the field, as well as suspension designers and other motocross industry leaders. In Febuary 2002, RockShox was acquired by industry leader SRAM who hope to take the brand onto another level.
