These trail-ready MTB forks feature a 30mm straight wall aluminium construction, which means that they're more than capable of handling the knocks and bumps that come with long days in the mountains. Their Solo Air air-spring also ensures that riders benefit from a plush, predictable ride that can be set up in seconds. RockShox has also kitted out this version with Boost-spacing for running bigger tyres and wider, stiffer wheels. Coming complete with a proven Motion Control damper, these forks deliver low-speed compression adjust to lockout with external rebound adjust. As a result, you'll be able to enjoy a rider-tuned feel, as you tackle everything the mountain has to offer.
Technologies:
Solo Air: Solo Air gives you a plush, predictable ride you can set up in seconds.
Motion Control: Motion Control damping is seamless, effective and offers a simple low-speed compression adjustment coupled with a blow-off valve.
Boost: Boost is the standard wheel and drivetrain specification that opens the opportunity for improved frame geometry with shorter chain stays, wider and stiffer suspension pivots, wider range of chainring options, as well as more clearance for bigger tyres and wider, stiffer wheels.
Torque Caps: Torque Caps make the bond between hub and fork dropout stronger, with an increased surface area connecting the two. This creates a stronger, stiffer interface, giving you a more responsive front wheel and more control. So you concentrate on the most important connection, the one between your bike and the trail.
RockShox was one of the first producers of bicycle suspension forks and have now become the world leader in the design and manufacturing of high performance suspension products for the bicycle industry. In 1989 RockShox Inc. was founded by Paul Turner and Steve Simons. Rock Shox launched with 10 front suspension forks and three rear shocks, with the brand names such as Boxxer, Deluxe, Indy, Jett, Judy, Mag, Quadra, Ruby and SID. RockShox’s founder Paul Turner, raced motorcycles in his teen years during the 1970s and went on to found an aftermarket engine parts company in 1977 at the age of 18. Turner then went to work for Honda Motor Company, as their factory motocross team mechanic, an opportunity which provided Turner with experience working with the top racers in the field, as well as suspension designers and other motocross industry leaders. In Febuary 2002, RockShox was acquired by industry leader SRAM who hope to take the brand onto another level.
