The Kanzo Speed is the ideal bike for anyone who likes a taste of gravity. You’re not 100% sure yet if gravelling is your thing? Then the Kanzo Speed is the ideal solution. With its maximum tyre clearance of 38mm, you can explore gravel roads perfectly, but a normal road tyre also fit nicely on it. This means you literally have a road bike and a gravel bike in one bike.
The Kanzo Speed is actually an all-road bike with its comfortable geometry and eyelets for the mudguards. You can ride this bike on the road as well as in the field and that makes it so enjoyable.
Gravel is the new kid on the block and its popularity is rapidly increasing. Is there a better combination than “discovering” and “cycling”? Ridley makes a bike that excellently combines both. And, with a gravel bike, you can master any terrain, at your own pace.
Kanzo, or canzo, is a word that dates back to the times of the troubadours, who were singers and poets in the Middle Ages. They travelled widely and experienced all kinds of adventures, which they turned into stories about knights or even love stories. On return to their home villages, they would tell the inhabitants about their adventures using three different genres. The most commonly used of these was a “kanzo/canzo”. Their stories moved entire communities, who hung on their every word.
Just like the troubadours, Ridley wants to encourage riders to go out and ride their bikes, to discover new places or rediscover what they thought they already knew.
Ridley set extremely high standards for themselves. And, it all starts with their choice of raw materials. They use only the best quality carbon available, sourced from Toray. They are the world’s leading carbon manufacturer, supplying mainly to the aerospace industry. The grades of high-modulus carbon used vary from their most pliable 24-ton, which gives the frame flex and comfort, to 60-ton which is the stiffest.
Disc brakes are one of the newest game-changing evolutions in road cycling. They add that extra level of security to any ride, knowing that you can always stop on demand. They are equally reliable in all weather conditions. The ease of braking is a real bonus, especially when your hands are frozen and barely functional. Just a light pull on the lever to modulate your speed. With no need for braking on the rim surface, wear and tear are reduced. This gets you much more mileage from your wheelset.
Rest assured that each bike is fully built and tuned by Wiggle's team of qualified bike mechanics to ensure your bike arrives in perfect condition. We supply all bikes with a set of plastic pedals, a pedal wrench and a multi-tool kit. Find out which size fits you by clicking the size chart tab.
Flanders, the Flemish region of Belgium is infamous for serving up the harshest cycling conditions where driving rain, cobbled non-category climbs, snow and ice are the norm for its 6,000 racing clubs. This place, the pounding heart of a passionate cycling nation where the most revered Spring Classics unfold, is the cold steel anvil where flesh and bone are forged into the greatest racers of all time. This is Belgium, home to Ridley Bikes, and it is here where our products are engineered, hammered into raw form by the roads themselves, and where we refine them in competition. This is Ridley. We are Belgium.
