About the Respro brand

Respro product designer Harry Cole had "in your face" experience of exhaust fumes and city smog as a London cycle courier and this is still a significant and growing problem. In 1990, Respro launched the City mask, the first cyclists pollution mask and it is still in demand today. Over the last decade, awareness of air pollution has grown and now cyclists can choose from a wider range of styles and filters to accomodate more individual needs. Respro masks are supplied with replaceable filters and exhalation valves to keep the inside of the mask well ventilated.

We will happily refund any item purchased on Wiggle if returned to us within 365 days; excluding Wiggle gift vouchers, nutrition and customised products, except when faulty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good filter I have used 3 of these up to date. They provide good antipollution protection within traffic. Don't expect to prevent odours as well but since inhaling is made mainly through the mouth it isn't bothering.

Not certain it captures as much as it states in practice as the seal around the mask is not perfect. Good price and service from Wiggle.

How often do you need to replace the filter in the mask?

I believe the recommendation is to replace it every month or 69 hours (whichever is least!). I ride an hour most weekdays and tend to replace it every 2-5 months, just whenever the inside starts to look a bit grubby.

I have a Respro City Mask (large). Would a Respro Techno replacement filter be more effective than a Respro City filter?

If so, would the techno filter fit the City Mask without any issues? Thanks, Ilgun

The Techno filter is a combination of the Sportsta and City fiters and is the best filter for the range. You will need to purchase the upgrade kit for the valves rather then just the filter.
