An all-new model, the Reactor model is named after the 1996 original, but that's where the similarity ends. This 29er has a trail-focused platform, advanced kinematics and a trail-ready components package for attacking the trails with style.

Nukeproof has designed the Reactor from the ground up to be the ideal aggressive trail bike. It’s as at home on the most technical trails as it is on technical descents, and will guide you down the most challenging routes with ease. These capabilities are thanks to the frame’s hydro-formed tube set and carbon seat stays, which help to ensure consistent handling with a low unsprung weight. This low weight also makes the suspension as active as possible, smoothing out the roughest routes so you can maintain speed and control.
4 Bar Horst Linkage Rear Suspension
In addition to a low overall frame weight, the Reactor 290 is equipped with a 4 bar horst linkage back end. This gives increased anti-squat for when you’re riding in the climbing gears to attack a climb and lower anti-squat for putting the power down. This results in a 29er that not only climbs efficiently, it's one that becomes a trail hooligan on the way down! Plus, the combination of low anti-squat and progressive rate provides outstanding small bump compliance to remove trail chatter, great mid stroke support for cornering/pumping and end stroke progression for aggressive riding. Nukeproof’s extensive testing has found that this bike’s anti-rise figures allow the Reactor some squat when braking hard, maintaining your riding position and giving the ideal amount of pressure through the tyre, to ensure traction.
Adjustable Frame Geometry
To give you the edge on the most challenging trails, you can also adjust the geometry of your Reactor to suit your riding style and the trails your ride. This is as the Reactor features “flip chip” adjustment on the rear linkage. The “Trail” mode, as the name suggests, is best for trail riding, giving you the perfect balance of a steeper head and seat angle for maximum pedalling efficiency and still ideal position for descending at pace. The “Rail” setting turns your ride into a real corner shredder, by dropping the bottom bracket by 6mm and the head angle by half a degree, maximising this bike’s descending capabilities.

Getting the Right Fit
At Wiggle we measure each of our bikes to build accurate size charts for our customers. Our qualified team of mechanics then individually check each order, against measurements supplied by you, to ensure the size chosen is correct. Another reason you can have complete confidence when buying a bike from Wiggle!
If you are on the change over between sizes both options will fit. Racers and experienced riders would usually select a smaller size as this offers quicker handing. A larger bike offers more stability and is more suited to new and intermediate riders.
