If you want the same looks, performance and comfort as your summer mountain bike shoes, but with the warmth of a boot for winter cycling, the Magma XC Rock winter mountain bike shoes are just the answer. The body of the shoes gets a layer of Primaloft® Gold insulation, giving superb levels of warmth while adding minimal weight. Not only warm, but it's also eco-friendly, being derived from recycled materials. The shoes also get a flexible neoprene Easyfit Climaflex collar at the ankle, preventing water seepage while keeping pedalling mobility optimised.
Meanwhile, inside the shoes, a 4-layer insole adds another level of insulation, working with the Primaloft to deliver outstanding warmth even when you're cycling in colder weather.
Jaws Carbon Reinforced Sole
With a stiffness rating of 8 out of 15, the Jaws Carbon Reinforced Sole perfectly balances the need for efficient pedalling performance and comfort. Putting the power down results in rapid progress but the touch of flex in the sole provides absorption of vibration from rough trails and roads. The rubber grip provides traction off the bike and studs can be added for added grip on the muddiest of trails.
SLW2 closure system
The upper of the Magma XC shoes feature Northwave's snug-fitting Overlap construction, keeping your foot stable and secure as you apply pressure to the pedals. The upper is adjusted via the brilliantly easy to use SLW2 closure system. This allows you to dial in the fit just how you like it. The micro-adjust dial gives precise control of the fit but then at the end of a ride, a single button release makes it easy to kick off your shoes. Quick. Simple, Durable. Precise.
Cleat Guidance
These MTB shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use cleats with SPD standard (2-bolt standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB.
Northwave is a high quality manufacturer of snowboard and cycling shoes and clothing. Northwave was founded by Gianni Piva in Montebelluna, Italy and the company is owned by the Piva family. Northwave first started out as a shoe manufacturer in the early 1980's, producing shoes for other companies. In the late 80's, Northwave started producing snowboard and then its own brands of sports shoes. Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.
