Northwave Celsius XC Arctic GTX Winter Boots

Cold weather and muddy ground is no problem when you slip on the Northwave Celsius XC Arctic GTX winter mountain bike shoes. The Gore-Tex construction fends off rain, sleet, snow and biting cold winter winds.

With a suggested temperature rating of warmth down to -10 degrees Celcius, the Celsius XC Arctic GTX winter boots pack a real insulating punch for winter cyclists. This performance is made possible by the use of a Koala Gore-Tex® membrane. The fleecy inner face does a brilliant job of trapping heat while the windproof and waterproof membrane prevents cold winds and freezing rain from sapping warmth. 

At the ankle, the flexible Easyfit Climaflex collar allows easy pedalling but with its Gore-Tex Rattler® membrane also prevents water from getting in. Inside the shoes, the Arctic 4layer insole adds another layer of insulation from the cold - the four-layer aluminium and fleece construction works with the Gore-Tex membrane to deliver outstanding warmth even when you're cycling in temperatures below freezing.

Jaws Carbon-Reinforced Sole

With a stiffness rating of 8 out of 15, the Jaws Carbon-Reinforced Sole perfectly balances the need for efficient pedalling performance and comfort. Putting the power down results in rapid progress but the touch of flex in the sole provides absorption of vibration from rough trails and roads. The rubber grip provides traction off the bike and studs can be added for added grip on the muddiest of trails. 

SLW2 closure system

Keeping the fit snug and comfortable, the SLW2 closure system allows you to dial in the fit just how you like it. The micro-adjust dial gives precise control of the fit but then at the end of a ride, a single button release makes it easy to kick off your shoes. Quick. Simple, Durable. Precise.  And in conjunction with the Overlap design of the upper, a great fit without pressure points is made possible. 

Cleat Guidance

These MTB shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use cleats with SPD standard (2-bolt standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB. 

About the Northwave brand

Northwave is a high quality manufacturer of snowboard and cycling shoes and clothing. Northwave was founded by Gianni Piva in Montebelluna, Italy and the company is owned by the Piva family. Northwave first started out as a shoe manufacturer in the early 1980's, producing shoes for other companies. In the late 80's, Northwave started producing snowboard and then its own brands of sports shoes.
