The Michelin Wild Race'R Enduro Rear Tyre features the highest levels of rubber compound. It provides a superb balance between grip, rolling speed, durability and performance.
Excellent Stability and Braking Consistency
The tyre tread features sharp, angled edges to ensure excellent stability and braking consistency when travelling over steep and treacherous terrain. The tread design effectively increases traction when braking and reduces the time it takes the tyre to bite into loose terrain. The tread design has been bolstered by its refined tread compound that will not lose braking efficiency as it wears and will remain effective throughout its service life.
To increase carcass strength and its resistance to tearing, an additional layer of bead-to-bead protection has been added and will also reduce the likelihood of punctures due to pinch flats should you prefer to use tubes over tubeless. This tyre has been optimised to provide the perfect balance between size and strength; it is intended to handle the extremities of Enduro cycling conditions. Should you want to increase rolling speed, lower weight and eliminate the possibility of flats completely, then these tyres are perfect for your tubeless wheel setup.
An enduring and robust assembly. Developed to withstand the abuse of Enduro, Trail and All Mountain with a 3x60 TPI carcass and added a ply reinforced high-density housing.
More performance, higher speed, more grip. This is an assembly of two different compounds on a single tyre:
Race Compound: Performs directly in conjunction with your pedalling power to ensure maximum efficiency, excellent power transfer and braking.
This technology improves traction, control and comfort while reducing wheel rolling speed and the possibility of getting a flat tyre. The Tubeless Ready construction results in a lighter tyre for improved performance.
The Michelin tyres saga begins 1891, with the invention of the first demountable tyre for bicycles. Over the ensuing years, Michelin has never stopped technological innovations for bicycles, such as the first flexible-bead clincher in 1978, the first tyre with a high-density carcass in 1983, and the first tyre with a high-performance silica rubber compound in 1995. In 2000, Michelin introduced the first tubeless tyre for mountain bikes, and has been testing tubeless road tyres in competition since 2003. Riding with total confidence in your tyres means that grip and safety must be optimal under any conditions, in extreme weather or at high speeds. It’s why year after year Michelin introduces technological innovations and develops products with ever-higher performance. Nowadays, the development of bicycle tyres benefits from the same research methods used in designing tyres for Formula 1 and even the space shuttle. Michelin is the only manufacturer developing tyres for such diverse R&D environments. At Michelin they are more than just a tyre manufacturer. They are a community of men and women committed to social responsibility. Below are examples of how they strive to reduce our impact on the environment while delivering greater value, riding pleasure and security.
