About the Miche brand

Miche ... since 1919, a passion that grows. It's been "90 years" since Ferdinando Michelin, almost on a bet, began to produce bicycles and components with facilities including some with his concept design, proceeding with his son Italo - now president of the company - and arriving now-days in the directive hands of his nephew Luigi, with a wealth of knowledge and expertise that makes Miche, one of the leading global manufacturer companies of special components for Cycles (by road, by Track and Mountain Bike), designed and produced entirely in Italy.
100% Made in Italy, is for Miche, a choice motivated by a constant pursuit of absolute quality, from a story that has traveled all the roads of cycling, from the dusty ones, to those supertechnological and futuristic, constantly following a World in changing: the World of Cycling.
To build its products, Miche, employs the most innovative technologies, production processes and the finest materials: carbon, light alloys and composite materials.
The manufacturing of the entire range of Miche products, are performed within the factory of San Vendemmiano (Treviso - Italy) or directly controlled to have 'the hand' of what the brand MICHE will carry in the world and, while supported by robotic machines and numerical control the whole process has a decisive run by technicians who work with high professionalism, but above all with real passion for cycling, that passion that leads to refined insights concerning the evolution of each component.
To validate the "functionality" and the long lasting lifetime "endurance" of the constituents, constant testings are performed within the company (with repeated testing and laboratory analysis), and directly on the road by teams of professionals in national and international competitions, because any product with the Miche label, is a "90 years" absolute quality.

Miche Primato Track Bottom Bracket is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 55.
Rated 4 out of 5 by ozmadman from Good BB but not adjustable as in the advert This is a good, smooth BB of reasonable weight but no chain line adjustment as was mentioned in the advert. Good fit despite that and correct chain line for a track bike

Rated 4 out of 5 by jammystudy from Value for Money This is a Good BB which matches the Miche Chainset. This BB works well with the combination of the Miche Primato Chainset. Good Value for money. Needs a campalogo tool for the fit.

Asked by: ponz
Holding the greasy little sucker in my clammy hands here: It's English threaded i.e. RH-threaded L-cup and LH-threaded R-cup 1,37x24BSC

could I use this bottom braket in my Peugeot PH10L?

Since is a french bike I don't know if use a english or italian one and their specification? here's bike information: http://www.cyclespeugeot.com/images/1984_Peugeot_PH10L_P8_P6.jpg also about the Miche crank could you recommend a good ration. Im riding now a 52x 17 with 170mm. Its good but is hard to brake with the back wheel.( like old style bike.) I'll appreciate your info.+ thanks
Asked by: MAGNESIO
I did a little digging around online and found that the frame should be BSA (standard British thread) bottom bracket. So the bottom bracket should thread into the frame without any issues, this is of course assuming that the information I found is correct, if in doubt check with your local bike shop for confirmation. Maybe a 50x16t or 48x16t would be better for you.

cups

Are the cups for the new miche primato bottom bracket removable? particularly the non drive side one (the one with the lip), they used to be on the old miche primato bottom brackets but it seems they've changed so i'm just wondering if you can take them off still
Asked by: Bennooo
I can confirm that only the non drive size cup is removable.

Can this one be used with crankset other than Miche Primato Advanced? Let say a Sugino or a Shimano.

Asked by: ewan254
Curently using a donated Sturmey Archer crankset with it

Description says axle width is 107 but pic shows 110. Which is it?

I'm keen to swap out an old BB that is 110 as it gives perfect chainline. Anything less and I will risk the chainguard (kids bike!) hitting chain stay. Thanks.

would this fit a SURLY?

Asked by: juliethelenzoeelliott
If the frame is English-threaded - Yes! I have it on a "Soma Rush" fixie. You can adjust chainline, too, by moving both cups L or R. See other Q's for fitment etc

Compatibility with Langster Steel?

I'd like to use the Miche BB and cranks with my 2011 Specialized Langster Steel, however the BB is labelled as 103mm. Would this Miche one be too big and ruin the chainline?
Asked by: withnails
You could probably use this bottom bracket without too much of a problem but it does depend on your current chainline. I would recommend taking the bike into a local bike store mechanic to see if a 4mm chainline change will be too much or not.

Is this ISO or JIS taper?

Asked by: emilmh
It's ISO (as all European BBs are). The JIS is for 'J'apanese manufactured BBs, like Shimano etc.
