About the Miche brand

Miche ... since 1919, a passion that grows. It's been "90 years" since Ferdinando Michelin, almost on a bet, began to produce bicycles and components with facilities including some with his concept design, proceeding with his son Italo - now president of the company - and arriving now-days in the directive hands of his nephew Luigi, with a wealth of knowledge and expertise that makes Miche, one of the leading global manufacturer companies of special components for Cycles (by road, by Track and Mountain Bike), designed and produced entirely in Italy.
100% Made in Italy, is for Miche, a choice motivated by a constant pursuit of absolute quality, from a story that has traveled all the roads of cycling, from the dusty ones, to those supertechnological and futuristic, constantly following a World in changing: the World of Cycling.
To build its products, Miche, employs the most innovative technologies, production processes and the finest materials: carbon, light alloys and composite materials.
The manufacturing of the entire range of Miche products, are performed within the factory of San Vendemmiano (Treviso - Italy) or directly controlled to have 'the hand' of what the brand MICHE will carry in the world and, while supported by robotic machines and numerical control the whole process has a decisive run by technicians who work with high professionalism, but above all with real passion for cycling, that passion that leads to refined insights concerning the evolution of each component.
To validate the "functionality" and the long lasting lifetime "endurance" of the constituents, constant testings are performed within the company (with repeated testing and laboratory analysis), and directly on the road by teams of professionals in national and international competitions, because any product with the Miche label, is a "90 years" absolute quality.

Miche Primato Advanced Silver Track Chainset is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Framebuilder2002 from Quality crankset Good quality crankset, that looks great on my bike. I gave it three stars because it has a very narrow Q factor. I needed to use a wider bb than recommended, and ended up machining the back of the arm to clear my frame. There is very little flex even during track sprints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jmttdr from Great Value 6.6K complete on this. Haven't had to change the chairing either so I can't really say anything negative. I have lost a cap to one of the cranks so just tighten that every so often.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Daniel125 from Excellent Value for the money The Miche advanced crankset definitely has a lot going for it. It's relatively light, solid and also looks great. While it is a great looking crankset, my biggest complaint is that the backside of the parts aren't finished all that nicely. There are fairly obvious machine marks and that is a little disappointing given how nicely the front face of the cranks and chaining look. Its kind of like they got halfway through polishing and cleaning up the back of the parts and just said " screw it that'll do". However, for me this really isn't a big deal because the overall quality and weight of the crankset is excellent. Therefore a less then stellar finish on the part of the cranks no one will see when installed isn't a big deal. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a lightweight and attractive looking crankset at a very reasonable cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by coltonmi from Tough crank I'm using this on a fixed gear build that's getting run up some tough gradients and bumpy city streets. It's held up really well so far, and I don't foresee it ever giving me any trouble.

Do I need a miche bottom bracket or will work with a campy bottom bracket?

Asked by: Campag
The Primato is designed to run with a ISO 107mm bottom bracket axle. If you use a Campagnolo bottom bracket with the same specs you shouldn't have any issues.

JIS or ISO

The description of this product states JIS. But in other Q&A you have said that it needs an ISO BB. So please can you confirm if this is JIS or ISO? Thanks a lot
Asked by: ttttttttttom
I can confirm it uses a JIS BB.

More detailed description please?

Are the chain-rings for these cranks 1/8 gauge or 3/32? Are they the 130 BCD or 144? And is it possible to supply the 650mm size crank-arms with any size chain-ring or just the 48 tooth? Many thanks.
Asked by: racerfozzy
1/8" and 144mm BCD - I just read it off the packaging I have here. You have to buy your chainring of choice separately. I bought a 46t for my 165's

1/8 chains

This chainring takes 1/8 chains I assume? It lists it on other sites, but not Wiggle, just wanted to confirm.
Asked by: seveneleven

Chainline

Hi, In response to another question, Wiggle mentioned this should be paired with an ISO sq taper 107mm BB. Is this designed to give a 42mm chainline or am I going to need to find hubs with a 45mm or other chainline. Thanks
Asked by: GLYNR
All frames will require different size components, in order to achieve the desired chainline. Due to different frames having different angles. For more information please contact our customer service team at the following address, Sales@wiggle.co.uk
