Maxxis 3C Triple Compound mountain technology uses a harder, longer lasting base layer and two progressively softer top layers in order to optimise traction and stability.

3C Maxx Terra Compound
Maxx Terra is an intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain bike tyres. It is softer and offers more traction than their 3C Maxx Speed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than their Maxx Grip.

EXO Protection Technology
An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tyres. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tyre remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high.

TR (Tubeless Ready) Technology
Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tyres provide the benefits of a UST tubeless tyre without the weight penalty. Their TR tyres use a standard casing and require the use of a liquid sealant in order to make them airtight. Maxxis Tubeless Ready tyres are the only Maxxis tyres approved for use with liquid sealants.

Maxxis High Roller II 3C EXO TR 650B Folding Tyre is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Coxyla from Good tyre The high roller seems a good choice, tight first fit but no problem getting beads to seal for tubless running. Let hope i dont tear a hole in this one

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sheep57 from Long time hi roller user I've been using high rollers for a few years I'm no pro racer but the hi roller gives me confidence on the trails this is my first time using the 3c compound and so far I'm impressed not sure how long they will last. But As long as they keep me the right way up I'm happy it's all about the grip climbing up and pushing my limits down the trails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dicka1982 from Cracking tyres Wasn't sure if tyres could make such a difference, but i was wrong. These are cracking tyres. Excellent grip. Couldn't fault them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Eduardo77 from Good in the dry, but this is not all rounder. I have used this for 6 months through a filthy wet winter and through in to spring and drier conditions. I have only used it as a rear tyre and my comments below refer to that. I'm not sure about this tyre. It's hopeless in loose and mud on the rear on natural and local rides. It slips out on moderate lean angles and as you ride across terrain with a camber. In the dry it is much better.. But then again when it's dry you might as well ride something that is lighter and even less draggy like a specialized slaughter on the rear. I should try it as a front I know but I'm unsure I'd trust it unless it's dry- and I'm not a frequent tyre changer. In its defence, sidewall wear is none existent, I have had no deflation issues or punctures and wear is low considering the mileage I have put in. Wear only seems to happen in the warm and dry for some reason. It was a bit of a pig to put on the rim and needed a big hit of air to seat it.

Would these make a good winter Tyre for my Giant Stance?

And is it best to run them 2.3 both front and rear, I have heard some people say i should run a faster rolling Tyre like the duel compound on the back with the 3C up front, just want whatever is the safest and best for winter use as i'm quite new to MTB . I will be using them mostly on natural trials, bridleways and moorland Thanks in advance for any help, Cheers

These are a great all round tyre for all conditions. I have used them many times and have nothing but good things to say about them. in regards to size I would always go with matching front and rear tyres mainly so that you get the same grip level front and rear which will help you in the technical sections and under braking.
