A 1000 lumen bike light that has been purposefully built to fill all your urban commuter needs with side visibility, a quick release mounting system and USB rechargeability
When cycling through built up urban areas and dealing with multiple lanes of traffic it’s not always just necessary to stay visible from in front and behind. The Urban 1000 has therefore been built with added side visibility to make sure that you’re visible from 180-degrees. The beam pattern has been specially angled to provide a wider stretch of lighting and special amber lights have been built into either side of the light to provide direct side visibility.
The light comes with an integrated quick release handlebar mount which can be fully adjusted to fit a variety of bike frame types. The mount works with a strap system that doesn’t require any additional tools or fittings. The quick release element of the mount also allows you to take the light on and off your bike in seconds and with complete ease which is ideal for commuters.
The Urban bike light comes with a multitude of lighting modes that are easily toggled between using a one button function. The modes allow you to set the tone for your environment and choose a mode that suits your battery life. The modes included are:
High: 1000 lumen output – 1.5 hours battery life
Medium: 500 lumen output – 3 hours battery life
Low: 250 lumen output – 6 hours battery life
Pulse: 500 lumen output – 12 hours battery life
Light and Motion are passionate outdoor enthusiasts who have the experience to engineer great equipment. This ideal environment allows them to put their designs to the ultimate test. As their product line continues to expand their mission remains the same: To enhance the lives of their customers by their products and personal interactions. In 1989 Light & Motion founders, Barrett Heywood and Michael Topolovac, started experimenting with underwater lighting systems. These dive enthusiasts were driven to build a company where designers would create innovative world-class products for a variety of sport specific applications. By 1991, the company was shipping underwater video systems worldwide and had expanded into a 16,500 square foot, renovated sardine cannery overlooking the Monterey Bay. This one facility houses the CNC machine, molding, assembly shops, and design offices. After a decade of designing and creating innovative underwater lighting products, Light & Motion returned to dry land. Not far from the rolling wave breaks of Monterey, Light & Motion found opportunity on the single track of the Laguna Seca hills. In 1999, Light & Motion brought their proven experience and pioneering spirit to the world of cycling. The company’s products were met with an enthusiastic response and immediately revolutionised the bike light industry.
