Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad design This is used for bb and centre lock disc roter. The notches of the tool are chamfered and do not grip. Centre locks and some bb e.g T47 have lock ring only 1-2 mm thick so notches have to lock in securely. Had to file the surface at least 1mm down before it was usable. Pay more and choose one of the others. Needed to use tool urgently and could go through the delay of returning and replacing. Cough up the extra and get the Park tool or similar. Wiggle should withdraw this item really.

Is it suitable for center lock rotor lock ring?

Can this tool be used with shimano SM-HB20 lock ring? This is a lock ring used on center lock rotors. Many thanks

This won't fit the lock ring on my rear Mavic Aksium without remove the shaft in the hub the axle fits in (which is a massive pain). The tool is not deep enough to fit the lock ring over the axle.

It doesn’t fit without an adapter. If your bb is a little stiff it won’t work, the plastic adapter will strip it’s teeth!

Hollowtech BB30

I've just changed my Bottom bracket on my tarmac sl6 to a hollowtech 2 BB330. will this fit and will a 1/4" driver on my torque wrench fit? Thanks

Assuming your new BB uses a standard Hollowtech II interface, this will fit. It requires a 1/2" driver or 32mm wrench.

This will not be compatible with X-Tools X-Tools Pro Torque or X-Tools X-Tools Essential Torque Wrench. This is compatible with Torque Wrenches which have a 1/2" drive.
