Prime Time
Inspired by cyclists sprinting for ‘primes’ (pronounced ‘preems’) in criterium races, LifeLine prime race tyres are designed for high speeds, tight bends and the pursuit of victory.

The slick centre tread keeps straight line rolling resistance to an absolute minimum while a channeled pattern in the shoulders provides increased grip in the corners and helps to shift surface water in poor conditions. The 60a durometer compound offers excellent traction for confidence on twisty descents and hairpin turns.

Case Closed
The 120TPI (threads per inch) casing provides increased strength and flexibility while reducing weight. This allows the tyre to withstand the high pressures needed for racing, and the reduced rotational mass offers faster acceleration and agile handling.

A tough and lightweight Kevlar breaker sits beneath the tread to guard against sharp road debris, helping prevent punctures and keeping you out on the roads for longer. The aramid folding beads provide a secure interface with the rim whilst also allowing easy installation.

23mm or 25mm?
LifeLine Prime Race Road Tyres are available in 23mm and 25mm options so you can choose between the feedback and precision of 23s, or the more cushioned and stable feel of 25s. Custom colours are also available to match with your kit theme.

LifeLine Prime Race Road Tyre is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 2 out of 5 by JamieMacAskill from Poor manufacturing quality I read lots of good reviews about these tyres in terms of having great performance at their price point. That being said I saw one review discouraging buying one of the coloured options. I took my chances and ordered the white ones...which I have now returned. As per the Previously mentioned review the coloured strip is not consistent in dimensions all the way round the tyre, this means once they are mounted and the wheel spun it looks like the wheel is buckled due to the inconsistency and poor manufacturing of the coloured strip. I am sure these are a very good performing tyre as per other reviews, just don’t get them in a colour!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Chris47586 from Just stick with Continentals Save yourself the effort and just buy a more expensive tyre. Want to know why? Read on. In the past I've pretty much always ridden Continentals, and I always choose tyres with their 'black chilli' compound. I'm a light rider (65kg) and use proper tyre pressures, and the result is that I've had <5 punctures across the various bikes I ride in the last 10 years. Hard to believe? Maybe, but it's true. Everybody knows that Conti GP4000s are the standard for road bikes, but when a pair came to the end of their lifespan I baulked at the prices they were selling at. I decided to give the LifeLine tyres a go because I've been pretty impressed with other LifeLine stuff I've had (pumps and accessories) which generally represent good value for money. What I found was 1)The tyres felt very grippy, if not sticky; great for cornering, and they even felt sure round off-camber corners. 2) Related to point one, but this made them feel slow. Noticeably slower than the rolling resistance I am used to. 3) The tyre has quite a pointed profile when inflated, they are not as rounded as Continentals, and less tyre is making contact with the road. This made the ride feel uncomfortable, and was reminiscent of the times before 25s became ubiquitous when we would ride 23s or less. (I ordered these as 25s) 4) 2 punctures in the first 3 rides! Any mildly sharp stone will just cut straight through the soft rubber. There is no kind of functioning firm underlayer to stop a puncture. This is the real killer as no one wants to stop and fix punctures on brand new tyres. If you do get these, I hope you fare better than I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Malob1872 from Nice tyre Bought this tyre to replace the original ones on my bike. They have performed really well so far giving me two new PB’s on Strava segments. Overall a really good product, which I haven’t had any problems with yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by whitevanman13 from good tyres I have been using these tyres fo a short time now, no problems, no punctures. I don;t notice any difference between these and the more expensive ones I had before.

Asked by: BenB001
These are indeed folding tyres.

Production year?

Asked by: halukyy
We do not have the production year available unfortunately. However these are more than likely tyres that were produced at the end of last year / beginning of this year as they are popular tyres and the stock is replenished frequently.

28s are 25s?

Could someone confirm if the 28mm measure 25 when fitted? Some comments eluding to small sizing in reviews. Currently 25s on my bike and not much more room! Cheers
Asked by: PatrickBikeman
I have not measured these tyres, but in comparison to a Vittoria Pro Control 700 x 28 mm they come up on the smaller side.

Is there a maximum rider weight?

I bought these in size 28c and on the sidewall they state a maximum weight of 70kg at 100 psi. I'm a bit confused as there isn't any mention on the description of maximum bike or rider weights? I weigh 85 kgs and my bike is about 10kgs which is 95kgs, is this going to be a problem?? Is this weight for each tyre or total for bike and rider as you'd have to be very light to use these. Maybe I'm reading this all wrong. Please advise so that I can decide whether I need to change these tyres. Just a note, they are performing brilliantly!!
Asked by: Revival
Certainly you'd have to be quite light for this! We suggest that this is per tyre, so in total 140KG for the two.
