This adaptor is essential for BMX, recumbents and any bike with tyres having an outside diameter of 16 to 22 inches. This small wheel adapter raises the level of the resistance unit of compatible Kinetic Trainers by up to three inches.
If you are using a newer Kinetic trainer with the "U-shaped" frame, the Small Wheel Adapter is necessary for when using smaller wheels.
