The C5 GWS Trail Shorts may be light and flexible but they still offer reliable protection from cold blasts and wet muddy trails. The Gore® Windstopper® is key here, completely blocking wind and also giving a splash-proof barrier against deep puddles and damp and drizzly conditions. Gore have also thought about durability, placing highly wear resistant material around the saddle and inside leg area.
When you're manoeuvring over tricky terrain and taking on technical trail features you'll also welcome the flexibility of the shorts. Stretch fabrics won't impede your pedalling or freedom of movement and satin knee inserts ensure the shorts glide easily over skin and pads when you're pushing on the pedals. What you don't want when riding off-road is slipping shorts and thanks to silicone dots on the inner waistband and a drawcord waist these C5s won't budge - concentrate on picking lines not pulling up shorts.
