In addition to the lack of external transmitting pods, the Vector 3S pedals now boast even more accurate strain gauge readings of within +/-1% accuracy. Also, despite these improvements, Garmin has managed to improve the stack height for greater cornering clearance. Designed to offer quick installation, simple setup and operation and power training analysis that’s in-depth, the Vector 3S pedals are an essential addition to any cycling athlete’s Garmin ecosystem.

Single-Sided Power Meter

As not all cyclists need the level of detailed analysis that a dual-sided system provides, this 3S model takes a power reading from the left pedal and duplicates it to provide an overall power reading.

Garmin Vector 3S Pedal Power Meter is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Archimede555 from Excellent product I bought these so I could do training on Zwift using my spin bike. Great choice. Very reliable. Easy to install. Absolutely zero issues. Very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tri2win from Marvin the Paranoid Android. Having read all the appalling reviews about these pedals and the fact that they are quite pricey I was very nervous about buying them. I spoke to two people who had them already and who hadn't had any of the widely reported issues so I decided to take a leap of faith and buy a pair. I'm glad I did. The pedals are simple to fit, 15mm spanner. It says you need to set them to a specific torque but neither of my friends have, and nor have I, and they work. (OK it might mean that they show a few watts difference in a proper bench test but at my level I won't notice this.) The only possible downside to this is that the pedals do have "Garmin" written on them so if you leave your bike locked up but unattended, e.g. a cafe stop it would be very easy for an eagle eyed thief to remove them. When transporting my bike on my car I take the pedals off. I didn't have any issues linking the pedals to my Garmin edge 530 computer and the metrics I get are adequate for me. I didn't buy the vector 3 (two leg monitoring) pedals as I wasn't sure what, if anything, I would do with the extra data. Even if I knew that my right leg was stronger than my left leg, am I going to do left leg only squats to try to balance the power output, unlikely, so for me it wasn't worth the extra money. If you have the cash and the time to review all the extra data then I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed with those pedals either. The pedals come with 1 pair of Garmin cleats. I have a couple of pairs of cycling shoes and as you cant use Shimano cleats I bought some new KEO look cleats too as I didn't want the hassle of setting up cleats every time I changed my shoes for a race/training session. Having always ridden with Shimano cleats and Look don't sell cleats with exactly the same amount of float I was concerned about this but having now ridden with them for three months hills and longish flat rides no issues, if anything the Garmin pedal/ Look cleat combination are easier to clip in/out of than the Shimanos. In summary if you want more data go for the vector 3 dual leg version if you want more accuracy I would say buy a power meter crank instead but for me the vector 3S and the Garmin edge 530 computer computer are perfect and now I really don't know what was I worrying about. Enjoy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DanYork from Garmin finally nailed it I've had problems with Vector pedals previously, even with the earlier version 3. This new version with the revised battery cover finally solves the dropout issues and the pairing with Garmin Connect App now works flawlessly also. I've had two issues even so, but both more minor and I can live with: (1) The pedals originally over-read significantly (30-40%) when calibrated using Garmin connect app on iOS until calibrated using a Garmin head unit; and (2) The pedals take 10-12 mins of "warmup" (during which they under-read) until they settle at correct values. All in all though, these are great pedals, very reliable and stable,, good battery life, solid clip-in action compatible with Keo pedals.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SW101 from Great product - poor reliability These pedals have been great for about 18 months but then the reliability issues kicked in. Signal drop out issues have been getting worse for several months and now to the point where they are pretty useless. I had heard about reliability issues with these pedals but I expected better from Garmin
