The racers shoe, the Gaerne Carbon G. SNX MTB SPD Cycling Shoes combine a supple and supportive upper with a stiff carbon sole, delivering instant acceleration and pure pedalling performance.

The premium off-road shoe in Gaerne's range, the Carbon G. SNX MTB SPD Cycling Shoes come to life in the lung-busting speed and intensity of cross-country mountain bike and cyclocross races. The lightweight microfibre upper wraps your foot snugly to provides excellent support when pedalling. And laser-perforations allow your feet to breathe and maintains a stable micro-climate inside. Anti-abrasion zones also boost durability when taking on tough terrain. 

The Anatomic Heel Cup 1.0 has evolved to improve foot support and the anti-slip treatment prevents heel lift when you're pedalling. The heel cup works alongside the Tarsal Support System 1.0. Standing for "Tarsal Support System", this maintains the ideal foot position within the shoe, allowing for an efficient pedal stroke and unmatched power transmission. 

You also benefit from the EPS Comfort insole. The anatomical shape offers support and comfort, while perforations are used to regulate temperature.

BOA Dial Brilliance

To customise the fit and feel of the shoes, you'll enjoy the use of the proven Boa Li2 system. This system allows precise adjustment and a uniform fit across the foot while removing any pressure points. Twist. Adjust. Ride. And because the 'lacing' is so minimal, it allows for greater air circulation and hence greater comfort.  Boa Technology also guarantees the reels and the cables of the BOA closing system for the entire useful life of the product.

The BOA dials work with the InFit Closure System. This gives a total of eight fixing zones through which the Boa laces run. This ensures a smooth application of pressure spread across your whole foot. 

EPS Carbon Power MTB Sole 10.0

Combining Gaerne's proven Carbon sole technology with Michelin's grip know-how, the EPS Carbon Power MTB Sole 10.0 gives smooth, efficient power transfer on the bike and confident traction over any terrain. 

The sole unit uses carbon fibre to achieve 10 out of 12 on the Gaerne stiffness rating, ensuring optimal power-transfer. However, there's also some tuned flexibility to soak up small bump vibrations and give excellent walkability off the bike. The Michelin rubber tread affords excellent traction and it's also durable too. The wide tread pattern sheds mud well and toe studs can be added should you be facing particularly muddy run-ups - ideal for winter cyclocross races.

These shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use the 2-bolt cleat standard (SPD standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB.
