Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good but check fsa splines! The Bearings in this Bottom Bracket are smooth, and there is a type of weather seal around the thread. I cannot say how this BB rides as although the correct size for my frame, the ISIS splines are not compatible with FSA Power Drive cranks. I did look for a compatible crank on Wiggle, but unfortunately had to return the BB and search for Power Drive BB from another supplier, I do wish manufacturers would standardise sizes and fittings. The recommendation is based on the similarities with the PD Bottom bracket which I have fitted.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lower quality than Platinum Pro My old road bike came with the FSA Platinum Pro, a lightweight and beautifully made BB that complemented my FSA carbon crank and DuraAce build. After 16 years the sealed bearing on the right side was feeling a little crunchy and causing creaks under hard pedaling. When I learned that FSA no longer makes the Platinum Pro BB, I ordered the Platinum as the replacement recommended on the FSA web site. Unfortunately it's a much lower quality part. It's noticeably heavier, finish is poorer and, most importantly, the bearings are gritty feeling, at a point where I'd definitely want to replace them. New out of the box it feels much worse than my 16 year old unit! This was disappointing because I want to get more life out of my perfectly good ISIS crankset and not pay a cost or weight penalty. Will look for alternatives. Also, it took more than 3 weeks for my order to arrive in Canada from Wiggle, adding to my disappointment.

Will this replace an FSA Alpha Drive crankset?

The FSA Alpha Drive BB on my Boardman Comp MTB might need replacing, so I am wondering if this will fit the bike?

Unfortunately the closest size we have is the 118mm axle length in 73mm shell so this would fit the frame but not the cranks I'm afraid, apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Can this be used to replace Truvativ Power Spline BB

I have SRAM S100 crank set (in good condition) that is fitted to Power Spline BB (which has developed play) and I am looking to replace the BB with something more durable.
