Driven forwards by a Shimano GRX400 2x10-speed system with a double-chainring crankset, featuring a sub-compact 46/30 chainring combination mated to a cassette with an 11-34-tooth range. This means that the Broam 40 sports a climbing gear even better than the fabled 1:1 ratio of the most seasoned mountain goats, thus giving its rider the most capability no matter how steep or loose the terrain becomes. Plus, it's equipped with TRP HY/RD mechanically actuated hydraulic flat mount disc brakes that ensure you have quality braking power at your fingertips in all weather conditions.
For as long as people have been riding bikes, there have been people riding bikes over long distances, travelling across the land, and experiencing the unique perspective that only pedalling can provide. That long-heralded mystique of bike touring thrives today in the form of the Broam. It’s the loyal companion you always dreams about, one that will be with you through thick and thin, no matter what the road of life throws your way. Be it freshly paved tarmac or dusty gravel, superfast descents or strength-sapping ascents, the Broam will not only get you to your destination but also make the journey worthwhile.
Engineered from Felt's SuperLite aluminium, this frame truly is amongst the lightest on the market compared to bikes with similar riding goals. More importantly, however, Felt engineers worked tirelessly to ensure that the Broam frame is both incredibly durable with precision welding and construction, as well as comfortable enough to mitigate vibrations for all-day riding comfort. Paired with a carbon fibre fork crafted from their UHC (Ultra Hybrid Carbon) Advanced carbon fibre, this forks construction is specifically tuned to handle the rough, high-frequency chatter and big hits of gravel roads.
The Broam’s geometry is best described as relaxed, with slack head and seat angles, a long wheelbase, and a tall stack height. All of these combine for a ride that is incredibly stable at high-speeds, as well as a comfortable riding position that can be enjoyed all the way until the sun goes down and beyond.
Designed around a BSA threaded bottom bracket, making for easy maintenance and a creak-free ride. The Broam was constructed to work flawlessly with two different wheel sizes: the traditional 700c wheels found on most regular road bikes and the slightly smaller 650b wheel size prized by mountain bikers looking for that magic combination of incredible traction and agile steering.
This adventure bike's versatile performance means it accepts up to a 45mm-wide tyre on 700c wheels, or up to 2.1-inch tyres on 650b wheels. A top tube-mounted storage solution with standard water bottle bolt spacing gives riders a spot to secure additional nutrition, tools, or any other accessories needed to tackle a long day in the saddle. The Broam 40 is also capable of accepting racks and fenders, making it a delightful companion for wet weather riding and commuting
Dual-wheel compatibility (650b and 700c)
Massive tire clearance for all road and trail surface types
Sleek storage solutions, and rack- and fender-ready

Felt is an American bicycle manufacturer based in Irvine, California. In the early 1990s the company was founded by Jim Felt who designed some of the very first triathlon bikes that propelled many of the worlds greatest athletes to Iron Man victories. High profile sponsorship has remained an intrinsic part of Felt’s strategy highlighted by their association with the Garmin Transitions professional road team and Olympic Triathletes Jan Frodeno and Emma Snowsill.
With a strong product focus Felt has gone from strength-to-strength, going from just six bike models in the USA to over 150 bike models, sold in over 30 countries. Felt have created a niche group of highly skilled and dedicated people who work together to create bicycles that consistently exceed their riders’ expectations by providing a sense of individuality, inspiration and pride in ownership.
Felt are not governed by their competitors’ measurements of success - the desire to push beyond the limits of technology never allows Felt to rest on their laurels. As their universal mission statement suggests, Felt’s reason for existing is “To design, develop, and deliver the best bicycles in the world. Period.”
