In 2013 the DT Swiss Spline 1's took the MTB world by storm, since then they've been amongst the most sought after alloy wheels in the industry. This XR model has been updated to feature a wider 22.5mm internal width that's specifically designed for lightweight cross country tyres from 1.90-2.25 inches wide. DT Swiss has redesigned this rear wheel from the ground up in order to attain its additional width without compromising its racing performance. The result is a custom asymmetrical design that's unique to the XR.
Combined with the super light Spline 1 hubs, DT have created a wide, stiff wheel that's coupled with the benefits of wider rims in terms of comfort, technical handling and climbing traction makes these a game-changer for today's more technical XC courses.
240s derived hubs are the lightest MTB hubs DT Swiss have ever made and come with DT's legendarily durable stainless steel bearings and a 36 tooth ratchet for faster engagement as standard.
PHR (Pro Head Reinforcement) rim interface system allows the spokes to align themselves perfectly and combined with straight pull hubs ensures a super stiff and light structure with a greater fatigue life than is possible with traditional spokes and nipples.
Laced with DT's renowned Swiss-made butted Comp spokes for a great balance of toughness and low weight.
