Over its 18 years of production the V12 has become recognized as the benchmark for flat pedal performance. For 2014 we took our iconic V12 body design and redefined it. Here’s how it’s better than before:

LARGER PLATFORM AREA
The new V12 offers 10% more surface area than the classic shape. This means better grip and also support for rougher conditions and bigger hits.

LOWER PROFILE
At just 16mm deep the V12 is as slim as we could go whilst still retaining our legendary concave feel.

LIGHTER WEIGHT
There is a 20% weight saving from the last V12 with the standard version weighing under 430g per pair and the Magnesium at just 350g.

Magazine reviews for DMR V12 Flat Pedals

Review from MBUK

In conclusion...

So Good....
The wider 95mm platform, 10 pins per side and concave shaping mean the new V12's don't disappoint when it comes to grip. We're big fans of the price too, which makes the build quality and 422g weight even more impressive. Though the 95mm platform isn't the widest on paper, because the body doesn't sit tight against the crank arm there's space to accommodate wider feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by leehgv from SIMPLY A NO BRAINER These peddles transformed my riding , no more slipping off and scuffed shins ... They do feel quite wide but my size 8 show just fits without hanging over the sides... Simply Love them !!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by MerlinCyclist from Great pedal Good quality pedals, extremely grippy and a very good upgrade from the standard plastic pedals you get with your MTB. The grub screws providing the grip will destroy your shins though if you happen to slip, which I've done and now have some very big scars to show for it. Initially I thought they were quite wide, but actually with 510 Freeride shoes on they are just about spot on, if you were doing tricks then you might want a wider platform.

Should these pedals spin freely or drag?

I just purchased these pedals but I am new to this kind. They are smooth, but if I 'flick' them, they barely spin (maybe a quarter of a turn), is this normal? I suppose too much spinning would be undesired, but the way they are it seems too much drag? Many thanks!
Asked by: Lupa
Yeah, they will be like that when new, couple of months they spin freely Take them apart then grease em up occasionally Last for years

Is this pedal suitable for road use?

I have a gravel bike but 90% of time on road. I don’t like to be clipped in.
Asked by: Leyburncyclist
This would be suitable however you would need to be careful when cornering due to the width of this pedal as a road bike has lower clearance.

Compatible toe clip/cage?

I bought these pedals and was going to attach my current Cinelli toe clip / cage, as sold on Wiggle, but the DMR v12s don’t have a matching fixing hole. What cage would be compatible?
Asked by: iep28
Unfortunately you cannot fit toe clips to these pedals.

Pedal or Pedals

Simple question from a newbie to this: If the V12 pedal actually means "pedals", why not say pedals as you do with other pedal varieties. HarryFarnsbarns
Asked by: HarryFarnsbarns
This is just the way the supplier has listed the part name for us to put on site, sorry for any confusion caused.

What pins can be used to replace the pins that fall out of the DMR V12 Flat pedals ?
Asked by: PaulFromFife
You can replace the pins with either the DMR V12/V8 pins, or some twigs found on the trail. You could purchase these pins all kinds of sites, but I suggest taking a look at DMR's website. The twigs are found for free out on the trails.
