Product Data

Valve Type: Presta
Wheel Size: 700c (622)
Commuter: Yes
Touring: Yes
Road: Yes
Tube Size: 23c > 28c

Super lightweight butyl tube, even lighter than latex but not porous, so no need to reinflate every day. Can also be fixed with a normal puncture kit.

The long valve inner tubes enables you to use deep section rims (40mm, 50mm and above) as the shorter valve would not extend out of the rim valve hole. Shorter valve inner tubes are ideal for wheels with rim depths of 24mm or 30mm.

Presta valve tubes are most commonly used for road wheels (700c) and on a few MTB wheels as the valves are thin, whereas Schrader valves are more commanly found on MTB wheels as valve is larger and won't fit through 700c rim valve holes.

About the Continental brand

More than 100 years experience in the development and production of bicycle tyres has made Continental a unique company within the industry. Continental is the only German bicycle tyre manufacturer to produce its tyres in Germany. Knowing this serves as a mighty incentive to our engineers and everyone else involved in the manufacturing process to constantly strive for further innovations. In our technology and development center in Korbach, we are constantly developing new revolutionary technologies such as the unbeatable Black Chili Compound and the ultimate Vectran™ Breaker anti-puncture technology, both used at the top end of race sport. These technologies demand sophisticated processes to ensure our legendary end-product quality, and these innovations as well as the new “ProTection” and ”RaceSport” technology for MTB tyres, can only be manufactured in our factory in Germany – “Handmade in Germany”. In order to offer the best tyre for any application, we rely equally on dialogue with our professional racers, hobby cyclists and everyday bike riders. This results not only in high-end products for top sports applications such as the new Podium TT or the revolutionary downhill tyre “Der Kaiser”, but also tyres for everyday use like the new innovative combination EcoContact/EcoContact Plus as a companion to the latest e-bike trend. As a global player, Continental also maintains high-tech production facilities outside of Germany, where Continental tyres are produced for you with an equal degree of care and dedication. One thing all Continental bicycle tyres have in common is that they are developed in the technology center in Korbach, Germany, where they also undergo strict inspection. Our heart and soul is behind the phrase “Handmade in Germany”, with all of its products and technologies.

Continental Supersonic Road Long Valve Inner Tube is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 82.
Rated 1 out of 5 by iaygun from Very Deliciate, Not for Daily Use I bought a pair of these tubes and unfortunately both of them punctured little while just after pumping them. Even though I paid a lot of attention, realized that even a tiny particle inside the tyre can damage these tubes as they are very very thin. If you are going to use these tubes with brand new tyres, on a smooth road and in a race then go ahead, they are really lightweight. Otherwise for daily rides, it is obvious that you they are going to leave you on the road.

Zipp 404?

is 60mm valve enough for zipp 404s? thanks
Asked by: Robert87
Unfortunately the valve is not long enough for the 58mm rim depth. We'd recommend using an 80mm valve.

Are these more resistent to heat than latex tubes?

Have a long race coming up which will have an excellent surface but will be very lumpy. Have used latex tubes in the past and am conscious my rims might heat up too much to use them. Given the supersonics are butyl are they more resistant to hot rims than latex?
Asked by: kingofbongobaby
These are a lightweight Butyl tube and are more resistant to heat than latex.

What is the difference between race 26 and race 28.

I ahve 700x23x622. Which one should I go for?
Asked by: Andy1078
This is the ETRTO sizing of the tube diameter in inches. You would need the Race 28 versions for your size.
