About the Continental brand

More than 100 years experience in the development and production of bicycle tyres has made Continental a unique company within the industry. Continental is the only German bicycle tyre manufacturer to produce its tyres in Germany. Knowing this serves as a mighty incentive to our engineers and everyone else involved in the manufacturing process to constantly strive for further innovations. In our technology and development center in Korbach, we are constantly developing new revolutionary technologies such as the unbeatable Black Chili Compound and the ultimate Vectran™ Breaker anti-puncture technology, both used at the top end of race sport. These technologies demand sophisticated processes to ensure our legendary end-product quality, and these innovations as well as the new “ProTection” and ”RaceSport” technology for MTB tyres, can only be manufactured in our factory in Germany – “Handmade in Germany”. In order to offer the best tyre for any application, we rely equally on dialogue with our professional racers, hobby cyclists and everyday bike riders. This results not only in high-end products for top sports applications such as the new Podium TT or the revolutionary downhill tyre “Der Kaiser”, but also tyres for everyday use like the new innovative combination EcoContact/EcoContact Plus as a companion to the latest e-bike trend. As a global player, Continental also maintains high-tech production facilities outside of Germany, where Continental tyres are produced for you with an equal degree of care and dedication. One thing all Continental bicycle tyres have in common is that they are developed in the technology center in Korbach, Germany, where they also undergo strict inspection. Our heart and soul is behind the phrase “Handmade in Germany”, with all of its products and technologies.

Continental Quality Tour Inner Tube is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 441.
Rated 5 out of 5 by CeriT from Innertube Fitted inside tyre. All the necessary air got into the innertube and enough stayed there for me to ride my bike for a long time before I needed to pump more air in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dickl from It does its job! I've delayed this review as it seemed odd to write something immediately after fitting it! So far done about 2000 miles and although I didn't really think I'd be able too say much about it there is one thing I'm very pleased with. It maintains pressure really well and after a year and 2000 miles I've only had to top the pressure up a couple of times. Compared to the tubes on my wife's bike that's remarkable. They need topping up every few weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OrbeaRider66 from Could not be happier Okay, I lied. These tubes come with a yellow cap instead of black but that's not Wiggle's fault. Other than that, I could not be happier with this purchase. As others have noted, these tubes comes in plastic bags rather than boxes but I don't care. Great price and they seem like really high quality. My one question: how you were able to get this to the US two days after I placed the order?!

Presta Valve on Schrader Rim

My MTB wheels are for Schrader (car type) valves, but I got the free Conti tubes for Schrader with the tyres. Trouble is, if I fit them is the hole in the rim for the valve is much bigger than the valve. Any clues? Can you get away with it? Is there a special nut / adapter? Risks seem to be tube bursting out or dirt getting in.
Asked by: IzoardUltegra
The Continental Quality MTB Presta valve Inner Tube has a nut with a curved lip on one side. That curved side is designed to fit into various sized rim holes and create a solid seal against the rim. Even though the valve is a Presta the nut should be large enough to seal a Schrader rim hole. However, Continental also do a Shrader valve Inner Tube in this range - do an Inner tube search on the Wiggle web site.

26x1.3-1.75 or 26x1.75-2.5 ?

what is the best choice to Schwalbe Marathon 26X 1.75? 26x1.3-1.75 or 26x1.75-2.5 ?
Asked by: fink
I would say it would depend on if you plan to use the tube with any other tyre and size accordingly. If this is not a factor then I would go with the smaller one on the basis that it would be lighter...

WHAT SIZE INNER TUBES DO I NEED FOR MY 26 X 1. 50 TYRES

Asked by: PAULYY
I can confirm that for your tyre size you will need the Presta valve in the 42mm valve length in size 26x1.3-1.75 which is option D. I hope this helps.

Presta or Schrader?

My tyres are 26 x 1.95 but I don't know if I should choose the Presta or the Schrader version for that size.
Asked by: Sidious
It all depends on your rim holes. If they are drilled for Schrader, both will fit, but a Presta valve will be loose in the hole and might tear. If the rim is drilled for Presta, only Presta will fit. Just look at your current inner tubes. If they are Schrader, then get Schrader, If they are Presta but look loose, get Schrader, if they are nicely fitting Presta, get Presta

Which tube for Panaracer Fire XC 2.1 tyre?

Asked by: Callum82
For a Panaracer Fire XC 2.1 inch tyre, you should require the 26x1.75-2.5 (Opt-E) if you wish for a presta valve or the 26x1.75-2.5 (Opt-B) if you prefer the car type Schrader valve.
