Castelli seriously broke with convention with this totally waterproof shell jacket. First off, it breathes. It breathes really well. Using an exclusive ultra lightweight 70g eVent® fabric it lets out sweat at a remarkable rate.

Second, it fits. Fits like a cycling jacket should, not a mountaineering jacket.

Third, it packs down small (probably much smaller than the rain shell you’re currently using) to fit in a pocket when you don’t need it.

Finally, Castelli give it details that make a lot of sense for everyday riding, like external pockets that are easy to access with gloved hands and an extra-high collar and an easy-sliding waterproof zipper.

We will happily refund any item purchased on Wiggle if returned to us within 365 days; excluding Wiggle gift vouchers, nutrition and customised products, except when faulty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits beautifully and looks great. I'm a slim size 10 top but have broad shoulders and long arms and was worried this would be too petite. However, I bought the small and it fits lovely with plenty of mobility when riding. It is close fitting and if you wear anything more than a cycling top underneath it, it will be snug but not impossible. Lovely light weight jacket and I love the long arms. Not tested it out in torrential rain yet but I only intend to use this as a wind and shower proof jacket anyway. I bought the grey.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't wear well I bought this in February for long distance rides. The fabric is comfortable and the colour is great. It is a bit tight across the front at armpit level and the sleeves are very close fitting at the wrist but I really needed it for my next ride so kept it. It's actually really comfortable to wear BUT already the surface has started to break down (despite being protected in a plastic bag whenever carried). I have patched one area but the other is impossible to repair. I removed the wrist cords but the cuffs still won't fit over winter gloves so the rain runs down into the gloves leading to wet, cold hands very quickly. I guess it would be ok for emergency use in the summer, but as a waterproof for long distance, all weather rides it's been a disappointment, especially at such a cost.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Odd sizing Very disappointed - received this item and hung it up ready for bad weather - on putting it on realised it was much smaller than the sizing chart indicated, basically the sizing info is more like the actual size of the item and not the size of your physic, its also not really quite right for the female form, the waist barely goes out at the hips. I now have a very expensive (bought with a mix of vouchers - so was supposed to be a present) rain jacket I can't return or replace for a larger version.

Is the grey version visible in low light conditions/ reflective?

The Grey fabric isn't hi-viz reflective however it does help increase the visibility of the rider for other road users in darker conditions.
