Whether you're into gravel riding or exploring on your mountain bike, these grips are designed for performance. They feature a unique construction that's made with a stack of leather washers held together by three bicycle spokes and two aluminium rings. This allows each grip to be shortened independently to the desired length. Designed to fit all standard handlebars with a 22.2mm diameter, these are a great choice of upgrade for riders who want a strong and dependable hold to their handlebars wherever their next ride takes them.
In the Brooks tradition, our grips are made of natural leather, the same long-wearing leather used for our saddle tops. Brooks only buys the central part of the hide, the back of the cow, which is thicker and stronger. For our saddles we cut one leather top at a time, taking great care both in guaranteeing a homogeneous quality and in minimizing the residue. Nevertheless, a lot of leather remains unused, and it is this part which is now employed in the manufacturing of our grips.
The Brooks bike saddle story started way back in 1866, a young man of just 19 years of age was said to have bought 'one of those new-fangled velocipedes' which was fitted with a wooden saddle, this proved excruciating. As luck would have it his father made leather saddles for horses, so the young man known as John Boultbee Brooks set to work in his fathers workshop designing and developing a comfortable saddle from leather.<br/><br/>The rest they say is history....<br/><br/>Brooks experience in saddle making goes right back to the beginning - back to the period of solid tyres - and is unequalled by any other house in the world.<br/><br/>That said, they recognise the fact that they cannot rely on their past history alone, so they still build saddles with the same attitude as when they started, 'quality first', both in materials and manufacture. The testament to this is that there are still saddles in active use today, made many many years ago.

Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.
