Heat Mouldable
The Riot+ feature a heat-mouldable chassis thanks to Bont Cycling’s proprietary resin – a result of 36 years in the making. The resin is extremely stiff but pliable at relatively low temperatures, allowing you to make small changes to fit, not size, unlike no other cycling shoe available. This ensures comfort and smooth power transfer no matter how far or fast you ride. You can heat mould the shoes using Bont Cycling’s specific instructions as many times as you like in order to get the perfect fit.

"We make shoes for cycling, not walking"
A last is a replica of a foot that the cycling shoe is built around. Traditional last makers do not make cycling shoe lasts, they only make shoe lasts designed for everyday walking shoes. Surprisingly, the majority of other brands still use a traditional dress shoe last when building their cycling shoes. Bont Cycling, on the other hand, has been perfecting its performance footwear lasts since 1975 and the process is ongoing. This is why they believe Bont Cycling shoes continue to be the leader in providing the most functional and anatomically correct support to cyclists. Their motto in terms of cycling shoe fit is simple, "We make shoes for cycling, not walking."
Carbon Composite Construction
The carbon composite construction of the Riot+ has been specifically designed to ensure incredible power transfer at a remarkably low weight. The composite bathtub style construction of the chassis has been strengthened with the inclusion of carbon across high-stress areas. The carbon is sandwiched between layers of fibreglass to maximise strength while also enhancing long-term durability.
BOA Fit System
Thanks to the combination of the single-dial BOA L6 Fit System with a hook-and-loop Velcro strap on the forefoot, you can get a comfortable fit and make minor adjustments on the go. The closures have been configured to distribute pressure evenly across the foot, minimising 'hot spots.' This precise level of fit perfectly complements the heat-mouldable upper.
Medial Longitudinal Arch Support
Overpronation is one of the main contributors to incorrect tracking of knees during a cyclist's pedalling phase - due to internal rotation of the tibia and femur. This can result in knee injuries. In addition, the rotation of the tibia/femur can cause the pelvis to tilt resulting in lower back strain. Structural medial longitudinal arch support is provided in the Riot+ to stop over pronation of feet. This is also supported by Bont Cycling’s lateral forefoot support.
Founded in 1975, Bont began when Inze Bont, a recreational skater decided to fiberglass the back of his leather skates to gain extra support. A simple, yet innovative approach which started a company now in its 35th year, with product ranges across two highly competitive sports and sales across 56 countries.
Inze's innovation saw Bont as the first footwear manufacturer to commercially use materials such as fiberglass in 1975, Kevlar in 1986 and Carbon in 1989. The companies philosophy in continually driving development, along with its reputation for producing the highest quality products rapidly made it the largest producer of hand made speed skates in the world, a position it has continually held and one that is backed up by not only our volume of products sold, but by countless world championship medals.
In 2007, after continual requests the decision was made to expand the companies product line into the cycling market. Working together with world class athletes, Bont launched its initial offering of cycling shoes and in its inaugural year at the 2008 Beijing Olympics finished with 8 Gold medals.
Since 2008, Bont Cycling has rapidly grown it's product line to over 12 models in stock sizing and now caters extensively to all disciplines of cycling. Our range of cycling shoes cater not only to high performance athletes, but also to enthusiasts and beginners alike.
Bont as a company continues to grow with the help of a dedicated team of individuals. Our team, including our factory which is dedicated to Bont products only, strives to continually improve our products in all aspects. We work with total respect for all within the Bont family and value all input from within our team and from the countless individuals who use our products.
Bont will continue to grow through maintaining our constant drive in product innovation, continually improving on product quality and through providing exceptional support and service.

To find your size, place a piece of paper on a flat surface and place it directly up against a wall. Stand on the paper and ensure you have a 1mm gap between your heel and the wall. Plant your foot firmly on the ground and slowly roll your weight forward and onto the forefoot. For the most effective longest toe measurement, your heel should lift off the ground slight. Look down and take the measurement from the wall edge of the paper to your longest toe. Record the length. With your foot still in place, mark the widest points of the inner and outer edges of your feet. Measure the width across the widest part of your foot and record the number in millimeters. Repeat this step for both feet.
Once the measurements have been taken, use the Foot Length Range on the size chart to find your size. The Last Length measurements shown on the chart are the exact length of the last that we use to build the shoes. This correlates to the precise internal measurement of the shoe.
Following the selection of your size in EU or USA, move downward to select the most appropriate width. We recommend adding 1mm to find the most appropriate width. For example, you are looking at a Vaypor S and have determined your best shoe size is 45 and your feet measure 105mm (left) and 107mm (right) wide, with an additional 1mm added, you would still fit within the Standard Range. If your feet measure wide than 109/110mm (size 45/10.5) you should consider Wide fit.
