Lighter, Stronger, Faster and Safer
The retroreflective skin of the Helix Reflex range is embedded into the Durolite upper and wrapped from toe to heel with zero weight penalty. Shining like a beacon when activated by vehicle headlights, street lights and even fellow cyclists lighting systems, the Reflex blends industry-leading construction and efficiency with cutting-edge reflective materials for a safer ride at any time of the day.
Reimagined BOA Fit System
The Helix utilizes an internal BOA lacing system designed for a complete and even hold on the foot for greater security and comfort. Featuring a unique and never before seen BOA lacing system, the Helix shares the same fit and performance function of the popular Vaypor S while simplifying the enclosure for those too fast to wait.
Built to go the distance
The Helix features a bathtub-style unidirectional carbon fibre monocoque chassis unlike no other. An anti-stretch liner is built into the carbon chassis of the shoe before the outer Durolite skin is wrap over the top. The result: a stiff, comfortable and durable high-end shoe that will never stretch or deform over time. All Bont Cycling shoes feature replaceable toe and heel bumpers, for improved stability when off the bike.
Anatomically Correct Cycling Shoes
Conventional cycling shoes offer dress shoe-style shaping. While aesthetically pleasing, this shape can cause the toes and metatarsals to constrict, compressing nerves between the metatarsals leading to the rider experiencing dreaded 'hot foot' sensations. All Bont Cycling shoes feature a true anatomic shaping to allow the foot to function in its most efficient and functionally correct position. The foot is supported in its endeavour to relax through the metatarsal joints allowing the pedalling force to be spread across the greatest possible surface area.
Improved Comfort and Power Transfer
The monocoque carbon chassis of the Helix is not only incredibly stiff but also built for greater support and comfort for rides long and short. Built-in structural medial longitudinal arch support prevents over pronation of feet. Overpronation is one of the main contributors to incorrect tracking of knees and can cause unwanted rotation of the tibia a femur during the pedal stroke leading to injury. An anatomical heel cup and specifically-tailored upper design not only holds the foot firmly in place but pushes it rearward into the shoe for an improved foothold and in turn, a more relaxed foot.
Bont’s lateral forefoot support ensures a neutral position of the foot over the pedal spindle and alleviates common issues with feet ‘spilling’ over the shoe. These issues often result in incorrect tracking of knees causing injuries along with hip and lower back pain.

Founded in 1975, Bont began when Inze Bont, a recreational skater decided to fiberglass the back of his leather skates to gain extra support. A simple, yet innovative approach which started a company now in its 35th year, with product ranges across two highly competitive sports and sales across 56 countries.<br />Inze's innovation saw Bont as the first footwear manufacturer to commercially use materials such as fiberglass in 1975, Kevlar in 1986 and Carbon in 1989. The companies philosophy in continually driving development, along with its reputation for producing the highest quality products rapidly made it the largest producer of hand made speed skates in the world, a position it has continually held and one that is backed up by not only our volume of products sold, but by countless world championship medals.<br />In 2007, after continual requests the decision was made to expand the companies product line into the cycling market. Working together with world class athletes, Bont launched its initial offering of cycling shoes and in its inaugural year at the 2008 Beijing Olympics finished with 8 Gold medals.<br />Since 2008, Bont Cycling has rapidly grown it's product line to over 12 models in stock sizing and now caters extensively to all disciplines of cycling. To find your size, place a piece of paper on a flat surface and place it directly up against a wall. Stand on the paper and ensure you have a 1mm gap between your heel and the wall. Plant your foot firmly on the ground and slowly roll your weight forward and onto the forefoot. For the most effective longest toe measurement, your heel should lift off the ground slight. Look down and take the measurement from the wall edge of the paper to your longest toe. Record the length. With your foot still in place, mark the widest points of the inner and outer edges of your feet. Measure the width across the widest part of your foot and record the number in millimeters. Repeat this step for both feet.
Once the measurements have been taken, use the Foot Length Range on the size chart to find your size. The Last Length measurements shown on the chart are the exact length of the last that we use to build the shoes. This correlates to the precise internal measurement of the shoe.
Following the selection of your size in EU or USA, move downward to select the most appropriate width. We recommend adding 1mm to find the most appropriate width. For example, you are looking at a Vaypor S and have determined your best shoe size is 45 and your feet measure 105mm (left) and 107mm (right) wide, with an additional 1mm added, you would still fit within the Standard Range. If your feet measure wide than 109/110mm (size 45/10.5) you should consider Wide fit.
