The Z20 Aero Helmet, with MIPS technology, comes feature packed to optimise your performance and comfort while on the bike, while at the same time ensuring that you're exceptionally well protected should you take a fall. The aerodynamic design reduces drag and so lets you maintain speed for a reduced expenditure of power, saving you vital energy when the race is on.
Of course, protection is also a key focus here and Bell employs a progressive layering energy management system that sees two layers of hard-shelled EPS foam in addition to the integrated MIPS system, resulting in a helmet that has a remarkably sleek and compact design while delivering improved impact performance when compared to standard designs. This same multi-layer system also allows Bell to boost airflow and ventilation without compromising protection, keeping you cooler and fresher as the hammer gets dropped. Lastly, the Overbrow Ventilation features intake ports on the brow of the helmet to channel in cool air and push it through the air-channel matrix for full-head ventilation.
When it comes to a customised fit you're also getting the best system possible. The MIPS system integrates with the Bell Float Fit Race™ retention system - this gives you control of both height and width of the head support cradle via an easy to use twist dial. The integration of the MIPS also reduces weight, minimises complexity and allows Bell to further optimise ventilation. The Z20 feature set is completed with X-Static® and XT-2® padding, wicking away sweat to leave you fresh from first pedal stroke to last.
What is MIPS?
• MIPS is a Brain Protection System
• Rotational motion can cause brain injuries
• The low friction layer allows a sliding movement of 10–15 mm, in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact
• MIPS adds protection

From Grand Prix racing through to the Indy 500 to Olympic cycling, Bell helmets have played a vital role in protecting sportsmen and women for nearly 50 years. Bell began as a small auto parts store in a suburb of Los Angeles. Growing under the benevolent leadership of Roy Richter, Bell became a leader in safety equipment for auto racing, motorcycling and then bicycling. His commitment to creating great product through a close connection with the sport, along with his trust of and care for the people who worked for him, turned Bell from a one-man operation into a multi-million dollar enterprise. His legacy lives on today in Bell's commitment to racing, quality and innovation. More world champions have worn Bell cycling Helmets than all other helmet brands combined.
