The Bell Trace MIPS Cycle Helmet is ideal for family rides, rides for fitness, adventure rides and anything in between. Featuring a tough polycarbonate shell and advanced MIPS protection it's a brilliant all-rounder for the keen cyclist.
If you're heading out on two-wheels then the Trace MIPS Helmet has what it takes to keep comfort levels high and offer reliable protection in the event of a crash. The Fusion In-Mould design, pioneered by Bell, features a tough and durable polycarbonate shell bonded directly to the energy-absorbing EPS foam core. This gives a sturdy helmet for daily use and one that won't let you down if you fall.
Getting the right fit is essential for safety and here you'll get the easy to use and precise adjustment of the Ergo fit system. The dial system allows one-handed adjustment, even on the go. Complementing this are the No-twist tri-glides. These quick-adjust fasteners keep the straps flat and positioned perfectly. Adding to the comfort is the Sweat Guide liner, it pulls sweat away from the brow so you don't suffer the sting of sweat in your eyes.
MIPS System (Multi-directional Impact Protection System)
The Trace MIPS is designed to dissipate the energy from a crash and this is achieved via the energy-absorbing EPS body and the MIPS System (Multi-directional Impact Protection System). This MIPS is integrated with the fit system to give a sleeker, lighter and less complex helmet that fits closely to the head.
What is MIPS?
• MIPS is a Brain Protection System
• Rotational motion can cause brain injuries
• The low friction layer allows a sliding movement of 10–15 mm, in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact
• MIPS adds protection
From Grand Prix racing through to the Indy 500 to Olympic cycling, Bell helmets have played a vital role in protecting sportsmen and women for nearly 50 years. Bell began as a small auto parts store in a suburb of Los Angeles. Growing under the benevolent leadership of Roy Richter, Bell became a leader in safety equipment for auto racing, motorcycling and then bicycling. His commitment to creating great product through a close connection with the sport, along with his trust of and care for the people who worked for him, turned Bell from a one-man operation into a multi-million dollar enterprise. His legacy lives on today in Bell's commitment to racing, quality and innovation. More world champions have worn Bell cycling Helmets than all other helmet brands combined.
