Take to the road in comfort and protected by the MIPS System (Multi-directional Impact Protection System). The Bell Falcon MIPS Cycle Helmet is ideal for the enthusiastic cyclist who demands the best performance but has a tight budget.
Lifting many of the same technologies from their Flagship models, the Falcon MIPS Helmet offers a superb performance to price ratio. It starts with the Fusion In-Mould technology. Pioneered by Bell, this sees a tough polycarbonate shell bonded directly to the shock-absorbing EPS inner - this gives a helmet tough enough for daily use and offers excellent protection should you crash. This technology also allows Bell to sculpt eighteen air vents without compromising durability or crash-performance.
A perfect fit is also vital for comfort and safety. This is easily achieved via Bell's Float Fit system. Adjustable for both height and width, this minimalist and lightweight system is quickly adjusted via a rubber dial, ensuring the perfect fit every time you ride. No-Twist Tri-Glide fasteners also keep the straps flat and in place, for even greater riding comfort. Lastly, 'Sweat Guide' padding at the brow draws moisture away from the forehead, ensuring no stinging sweat can run into the eyes.
MIPS System (Multi-directional Impact Protection System)
The Falcon MIPS Cycle Helmet is designed to dissipate the energy from a crash and this is achieved via the EPS body and the MIPS System (Multi-directional Impact Protection System). This MIPS is integrated with the fit system to give a sleeker, lighter and less complex helmet that fits closely to the head.
What is MIPS?
• MIPS is a Brain Protection System
• Rotational motion can cause brain injuries
• The low friction layer allows a sliding movement of 10–15 mm, in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact
• MIPS adds protection
From Grand Prix racing through to the Indy 500 to Olympic cycling, Bell helmets have played a vital role in protecting sportsmen and women for nearly 50 years. Bell began as a small auto parts store in a suburb of Los Angeles. Growing under the benevolent leadership of Roy Richter, Bell became a leader in safety equipment for auto racing, motorcycling and then bicycling. His commitment to creating great product through a close connection with the sport, along with his trust of and care for the people who worked for him, turned Bell from a one-man operation into a multi-million dollar enterprise. His legacy lives on today in Bell's commitment to racing, quality and innovation. More world champions have worn Bell cycling Helmets than all other helmet brands combined.
